  It was not terrible, no...

  Stayed here for a couple of nights when visiting the city for the FINA championships. The location is good, just a five minute walk to the pedestrianised Bauman Street, and perhaps a ten minute walk to the train station. This is where the benefits end for us. Upon arrival we could not check in because of the long queue of people. Came back to check in a couple of hours later, and the receptionist immediately called the room service to ensure the room had separate beds. This was somewhat inappropriate, because we are a married gay couple and clearly indicated when booking that we needed one large double bed. But decided not to complain, after all this is a Muslim / Orthodox world. The room was of a decent size, but the carpers were not clean. The bin in the bathroom was broken, and shampoo / shower gel was in small pouches, 2 of each. We thought this would be renewed the next day, but no joy! We had to call the reception (go find their number if you can!), and asked for more shampoo and gel, and were given 1 pouch of each. How is this supposed to work if you are used to taking shower every morning and every evening? BYO is the best advice... It was problematic to get out of bathroom, as the lock was malfunctioning. This is dangerous when you're travelling on your own. In my case I had to ask my husband to help me from the outside. One of the bedspreads had stains. Loud music played (a concert) outside our window at 10 pm on one night. The room was facing the back yard... Breakfast is an experience of its own. This is NOT a buffet-style breakfast. You are offered a fixed menu with five options, e.g. one option would be porridge with butter, beef-filled pancakes, a bun and coffee. This is brought quickly to your table by a speedy babushka. Can I change coffee for tea? Not so sure... Overall, a very weird experience.

  Está bien

  En Rusia en general es muy difícil encontrar a alguien que hable algo más que ruso. Ni español ni inglés mucho. En Kazan, aún más difícil! Y aquí las recepcionistas no hablaban nada. Fue muy difícil comunicarnos y no eran muy simpáticas la verdad... Especialmente una de ellas que fue la que estaba justo cuando llegamos. El último día si nos guardaron las maletas y todo muy ameno. El hotel en si estuvo bien. Buena ubicación.

  Very well located Hotel

  Great Hotel in a good location. The Kremlin and Baumana street are in walking distance. Public transportation is really close and even a taxi from the airport is reasonable (book through Uber or Gett not the airport taxi stand). The train station is 5 minutes by taxi. The room is comfortable, nice private bathroom. A single room means one bed that is between a double and a queen sized bed. Double means two beds. Breakfast is nice but make sure you get what you order. The eggs and pancakes are great or the Omlette with the crepes like pancakes is also very tasty. The staff tries there best to communicate and they are extremely helpful. I can really recommend this Hotel

  Buen hotel en buena ubicacion

  En general las instalaciones estuvieron bien. La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, bastante cerca al Kremlin, y con facilidad de transporte público. La amplitud de la habitación y el baño estuvo bien, el único detalle es que las ventanas deberían tener block out ya que durante verano a las 3 am la habitación estaba completamente iluminada lo cual me dificultó un poco dormir. Es el único punto a mejorar, de resto todo estuvo bien. El desayuno incluido es básico, pero igualmente está bien.
