  Fantastic value what you want from a panzio

  50 euros with a good breaky for a spacious (with queen bed) clean and modern pension with varied breaky you can't go past - best panzio we stayed in Hungary with all you could want. located just out the main tourist area just past the train station. it was a great base for the night. Friendly hosts spoke something to do with my contacts German and limited English but enough to get by. We rocked up with bikes and no booking.

  Spacious modern room in old residential neighborhood

  Beautiful, clean and spacious newly decorated room with very comfortable bed, sofa, modernistic table with 4 chairs and good wifi reception and free secure parking - a real find. Located in a quiet neighborhood about 10 min walking distance from the surprisingly interesting city center. Good breakfast with nice cold plate of meats, cheese and hard boiled egg plus plate of peppers and 2 varieties of bread. Highly recommended

  A homey little place in Gyor

  I am just finishing my stay here and must admit that I am very happy with the accommodation. I had a superior double room, nicely furnished, clean and very functional. Great for a couple of a family with one child. The room has a flat screen TV, the channels are all in Hungarian, but I didn't expect anything else. Excellent wi-fi reception in all areas of the hotel. The owner hardly speaks any English, but we got by somehow. She was very helpful, and even readily heated up some water for me, so that I can enjoy some tea in my room. The entire place is very homey and friendly. She has three cats and a dog who walk around the courtyard, so if you don't like this it might be a problem. Breakfast is pretty decent as well, a choice of cold cut meats, cheese, jelly, butter, boiled eggs, some veggies, yogurt, cereal, tea or coffee, just tell her what you like. Honestly, I would stay here again on my next trip to Gyor. Location is great, just a 5 minute walk to the Town Hall and the Gyor downtown. If you prefer buses, no. 6, 11 or 11B all stop just in front of Buda Pansio.

  Charming

  We stayed as a family of four, 2 adults 2 kids here in April. The Panzio was easy to find and the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious, clean and modern, with an extra sofa bed and a lovely mdoern bathroom with a great shower. The Panzio is about 10 minutes walk from the Pedestrian streets and there are some lovely restaurants and places of interest. The continental breakfast was good and plentiful and there was free high speed wifi too. We were only stopping here en-route to Vienna airport, just under an hour away, I would go back and spend longer in this charming town and certainly stay here again.

  Do not recommend: One of the worst experience with hotels/hostels We booked a room on a booking site and received a confirmation. Upon arrival, we had to ring the doorbell/call them for 20 minutes until we could reach them on the phone (standing in front of the hotel with luggages). It turned out that they overbooked and only have a suite available but as we booked a normal room, they would not upgrade us unless we pay extra (~30% more), even though they admitted yes we made a mistake with overbooking, we are only human. As they made the mistake we did not want to pay extra and thus they said then we can look for acommodation elsewhere and hung up the phone. They were extremely rude in the process, terrible customer service!
