  No room cleaning a let down

  The hotel is about 2 kilometres from Friendship Bridge & shops, 7/11 etc. The track or private road to the hotel is narrow and full of pot holes, so if you have a ute or 4 wheel drive and your higher than a car, your ok. There are large transmission wires running directly in front of the hotel but outside its front boundary and far away enough not to effect you in the short term. We had a 2 night stay, big clean rooms as the hotel is modern, good hot water system, kettle for hot water, bring your own coffee/tea, very little English spoken by staff but expected, breakfast is rice soup, toast with jams, coffee and orange juice, so don't expect much, but if your hungry its a start to the day, otherwise stock up from 7/11 when your out and about, you have a choice to eat inside or outside overlooking the river. I have given an average on service because we didn't get our rooms cleaned and had to use the same towels the next day, not what you want if your using the same towels when using the pool, I went to reception, tried to explain what I wanted, clean towels for the family, they sent us a handyman to fix the shower, he arrived very quick, but he was not what I wanted, (towels & water), I explained to him, then showed him, with towels and empty water bottles, for him to tell them at reception, they rang us later to say, sorry not have, I can appreciate the hotel was very full when we arrived as there was limited parking left, and its a big car park, it was empty the next day, can't believe they ran out of towels and water, if that was the case ? Anyways overall its a nice quiet place, and good value for money, not having a balcony to hang costumes and towels out is a bit of a problem getting them to dry. Its a shame that they don't mop and clean the tiled foyers/stairwells as they are dusty, putting that aside the rooms are very clean. Pool is good not overly big, but you can have a swim (10 strokes) and it has a kids one as well that joins it. The rooms have a mini bar fridge. Beds are comfortable as are the pillows, (that's a 1st) and air conditioning works nicely and is quiet. We stayed on the top floor (3rd) no lifts, so if you don't like carrying your bags up 3 floors, you might want the ground floor, but is has a walk way in front of the doors (traffic). Would I stay here again, to be honest I would have to see what else is available all over again as we didn't receive our towels and water till we came back from dinner in the evening, (totally unexpected), but I think my wife being on the phone as we left for dinner and speaking Thai might have caught the attention of the receptionist, e.g. no I wouldn't recommend staying here sister, they don't clean your room or even provide you fresh towels and water, so you have to use the same towels, for the kids too, that might have prompted them to provide them at the very end, but not cleaning our rooms, come on, had to put rubbish out, including kids nappies, not what you want to keep in your room for more than a day. I am not a fussy person when staying at hotels, but fresh towels for hygiene is the least I would expect if you can't do our rooms.

  Excellent choice!

  Bualinn is an excellent choice if you are searching for a clean, and very quiet place to stay. You will need a car or taxi/tuk tuk to go to town, but I think this is far better then some hotels in town. I' ve lived for 3 years near Nongkhai, and I know the city very well. Bualinn is a nice addition. The pool is clean and a nice refreshment after a long day. Never overcrowded. The rooms are clean, basic, but very clean. For this price it is a superb hotel. Breakfast is nice, eggs, sausages and rice soup. What do you want for more? I read somewhere, someone wrote, there were ants. If this causes a problem to you, than pay more or book a room on the 20th floor. This is Thailand, and ants do not mean it is not clean. Embrace this country and its people. It is so beautiful. Keep up the good work Bualinn!

  Comfortable stay just out of CBD

  3 night stay with comfortable rooms & pool in a rural setting. Fair breakfast included. Restaurant wasn't open for lunch or dinner, but, hire a moped or catch a tuk tuk into town for everything you need.

  PEACEFUL PLACE TO STAY.

  A bit outside town, but few minutes by car. Good rooms and bathrooms. Good cleanlines.The beds were ok. The pool is quite good to. Stayed on second floor. No lift. Breakfast a bit spartanik, maybe. They are selling softdrinks and beer in the reseption .

  Good place

  good place to stay before going to laos. The family stayed two adults and a child of 3 years. very quiet and peaceful place, clean pool. Breakfast is not very good. price and quality of stay horoshee.
