  There is no better value for the money

  The people are wonderful. Simon and his wife Tina are running the show. Tina's brother in law and her mother Maria are a great kitchen crew. Food good, hotel good and cosy and only a few steps away from the Eggalmbahn. Skiing made extremely easy. My favourite hotel in the Austrian alps for skiing and relaxing.

  Great location, very good food

  We spent a week here skiing as a group of 4. We chose this hotel for the location right opposite the Eggalmbahn and for the food. Both lived up to expectations. The food is great, a mixture of modern Austrian and Italian with a twist. The salad bar is amazing and service professional and friendly. Breakfast is buffet style with a good choice of food and eggs made to order. Some minor thing is the coffee which isn't great but that is nit picking. We stayed in the renovated Bergkristall rooms which combine coziness and alpine chic with a beautiful balcony. The sauna and pool area are well maintained and pleasant. Lanersbacher Hof is a great place to stay for a week. The combination of great location, amazing food, comfortable rooms, nice staff and value for money is hard to beat. Recommended.

  Home away from home and more!

  Returning to Lanersbacherhof after spotting this hotel on 2015 visit to Tux valley. This visually stimulating hotel with emphasis on superior cuisine and personal comfort was just what the doctor ordered--I retired after 50 plus years of medical practice and left immediately for hiking in Austria. Virtually all of the hotel staff were able to communicate n English which is helpful for our uni-lingual family travel group. The swimming pool is artistic and comfortable to recover in after long hikes. The evening gourmet meals were well prepared and the "grand celebratory feast " with matching well chosen wines for each course was delightful. Service was unhurried. Christine and Simon Brugger's were very helpful with our every need. The Brugger's boys-actually young men- added to our experience with their dining room efficiency and excellent wine suggestions and decanting service. This is a fine hotel for those of us that enjoy our space and personal service. We will be back to Hotel Lanersbacher soon.

  Top gastronomie and wine

  Location itself (Lanersbach) is very quite (no apre ski bars around the hotel) and access to skiing lifts is very good. One lift (Eggelbahn) is exactly fron of the hotel, others are accessible via free Sport Bus (it stops less than 50 meters from the hotel). Rooms are either very modern or in classic tirolean style. But definitely clean, so clean as hard to see in much expensive hotels. Equipment in the rooms - all needed, including working owens to dry your clothes after skiing (not all rooms, ask for it). Breakfast - perfect, very good options every day and fresh juices. Dinners - to level of gastronomie. Usually few courses: - Free salad from buffet - Starter (choose 1 out of 5) - Soup (choose 1 out of 2) - Main dosh (choose 1 out of 5) - Desert (choose 1 out of 5) Every day different and on high level, very high, Michelin start level I mean. Wine - always 4 on offer for dinner but can choose from 1500 in menu in general if you wish. Before dinner, from 3PM to 4:45pm simple buffet with soup, main dish and some dezert as 1st aid when you return from skiing in the afternoon, Ski room is having heated dryers for ski and snowboard boots. We did to check wellness as there was nto time for it, next time.

  Relaxing Week in Austria

  My wife and I stayed here for a week of skiing at the beginning of March. We booked the "Topas" room and thought it was a really good room - it has a sofa which was good for relaxing on after skiing and big windows so you could look out while lying in bed. The room was newly refurbished and had a large bathroom with two basins. We arrived late on our first night due to heavy traffic but the staff still served us a reduced two course dinner so we did not go hungry which was appreciated! The food was really good and plentiful, between the breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner we didn't need any other food all week! The hotel also has several saunas and a swimming pool which I used every night. The hotel is in a great location for accessing the ski slopes, the Eggalmbahn lift is across the road from the hotel and from there you can also connect to Mayrhofen. There is a regular free bus to the Hintertux Glacier which goes from just outside the hotel. Overall an enjoyable stay, would recommend.
