  Superb dining experience

  The Browns is under new management and has been taken over by a local Carmarthen restauranteur. The hotel and bar and restaurant areas have had a complete cosy make over. We were greated by the excellent bar/ restaurant staff who provided us with a very warm welcome. The food was excellent and the service was first class. 5 star experience and we will definitely return.

  Meal at Dexters at Browns

  Everything was just perfect. The staff were so friendly. The meal was outstanding. The fillet steak was amazing, best I have ever tried. Would thoroughly recommend a visit, will definitely return here.

  Lovely hotel, full of character, with friendly staff, great rooms and excellent food.

  The hotel has only just re-opened in November having been redesigned and decorated. It is much better than the website makes it look. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They could not have been more helpful. Our room was full of character, with a great bed and huge bath. The bar is a great buzzy meeting place, and the restaurant is beautiful. The food was excellent for fish or meat, but not a big choice for vegetarians, yet. Its a great place for a short break, and we will go back.

  Overnight stay

  What a fantastic stay! From the moment you walk in the experience starts. The warm, socially distanced, welcome from the staff and ease of check in within the comfortable and gorgeous settings will quickly wash away those travel blues! Our room was exquisite, clean and freshly decorated. A quick drink in the bar (when you could!!) and into Dexters restaurant. Fantastic! Never eaten a steak that well prepared. Our meal was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. The dining experience is truly head and shoulders above any restaurant I've been to in a very long time. Will be re-booking for 2021 and I recommend you do the same. Thankyou to all that made the stay one to remember.

  Warm welcome - lovely meal

  Visited the Browns for a family birthday occasion. From the initial telephone booking with Ffion, we were welcomed with a warm, friendly customer service. The hotel had Covid control measures in place and made us feel confident that we were in a safe dining environment. The food did not disappoint with the majority of our party opting for the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection, accompanied by beautiful triple cooked chips and a tasty peppercorn sauce. Deserts were equally tasty. Lovely cosy and relaxed ambiance in the bar area. Difficult times for the hospitality industry, hats off the the staff at Dexters for a great dining experience.
