Excellent stayFantastic stay last week at the lovely Brooklands bed and breakfast. Paul and Jane are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble, they go every mile to ensure your stay is the very best. Rooms and facilities are perfect for what you need, very clean and well set out. Food is phenomenal, amazing pancakes and fruit, ample portions and very filling English breakfast. Lovely conversations with the hosts, rooms tidied daily and tea, coffee and biscuits replenished daily. A* rating for an all round, fantastic stay. Thank you for making our experience the best. Nothing was too much troublePaul & Jayne were excellent hosts, very welcoming and really helpful with recommendations of where to visit. Guesthouse is ideally located for harbour, beach & town centre. The breakfasts were great, with plenty of choice and nothing was too much trouble. We really liked the little touches, like leaving sweets & crisps in the room. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Excellent value.Brooklands proprietors ensured guests enjoyed their stay by providing good. clean, comfortable, unpretentious rooms with ensuite facilities. We were provided with a generous supply of tea, coffee and snacks in our room. We were presented with an exhaustive list of choices for breakfast which not only included the statutory "full English" but there were choices for vegans and pescatarians. Brooklands proprietors are excellent hosts and inclusive towards all their guests and they are very knowledgeable about the local area and the local attractions.Could not fault them - highly recommended

A break away that felt like home. We were spoiled! We recently took a long weekend at this B&B using Red Letter Day vouchers. We decided to add another day too and pay the extra which was reasonable. We had a very warm greeting and immediately felt at home. The property is small and parking is mainly on street but we paid extra to park in the hotel car park opposite which was totally worth it to avoid hassle. Our room was spotless if a little cramped. Room 3 seems to have been squeezed in between the others which look larger. However, it was fine for a few nights and the bed was comfy. There was no room for a wardrobe or chair but we had a shower/loo ensuite and a sink in the room with hooks for hangers and rails for towels. It was very cosy and quiet at night. Our perfectly cooked breakfast got bigger each morning and all my allergies were catered to, above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble. You could walk across into the top of town within about ten minutes and follow it down to the harbour, another ten probably. It was about the same to come up again along the sea front and up. Unfortunately the weather was not particularly kind but we found places to go, especially at Buckfast with the steam railway and the Abbey. Torquay shopping is pretty good too and there is a multi-storey car park near the harbour to get to the 2-layer shopping centre (good in the rain). A very pleasant break. Enjoy.
