MmmmmmThis place for 35 quid is ok I guess, the staff are courteous and polite but clearly flogging a dead horse. It's run down and I'm pretty sure housing foreign nationals and I seriously DO NOT LIKE paying for car parks in the hotel grounds ive already paid for but the whole lot of em are at it not just these blighters and £6 despite being an absolute pee take is reasonable. Its worth a punt as a last resort

Great Value for moneyI read the latest reviews on here and was surprised at what was was said so really wanted to come on and put a different perspective across. Firstly, as always, you get what you pay for in life. If you want 5 star rooms then pay 5 star prices, this hotel is exceptionally cheap in comparison to many out there and I believe is fantastic value. We had a room for 4 ( 2 adults and 2 children , aged 11 and 12). Our room cost less than a meal out for us all. Personally I felt it was a bargain. We booked last minute as we were going to Pleasureland for a day out at christmas. Plus points This hotel is very close to everything with cheap parking on site ( £6 pounds for 24 hours, most places are ( £16 pounds for 24 hours) This is a short walk ( 4 minutes) to all the main shops ( 10 minutes to pleasure land, splash world and beach ect...) Right outside are a number of restaurants and ice cream parlours ect... Great location for us. We stayed in the princess suite... which has a bedroom with 2 double beds in and a separate living room, also a bathroom. I did put my head through other doors to see smaller rooms and they seem very pleasant also. The rooms were very clean, bed sheets immaculate, very large rooms with high ceilings. We had a tv in both rooms with lots of choice of channels,, including sony movies. The staff were fantastic. Emma and Carley on reception went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and communicated with us regularly via the hotels messenger to cater for our needs. The hotel is old with creaky floors , an old smell and could do with a bit of a Sprouse , it does have the old feel about it regarding decor but I appreciate this and seen the beauty in it. It is not modern and shiney but we actually loved this, it was like going back in time to blackpool. It has a very grand feeling to it with the large stairs and corridors with beautiful high ceilings. ( my son and daughter thought it was similar to the witches hotel from the film) We will definitely be going back again. Great value for money. All I can say, is any trip away is what you make it! you can see, find the bad or look for the good. Life is what you make it. If your looking for a cheap stay and great location then this is great, if your expecting the ritz then go pay those prices. Thank you to the prince of wales hotel for a fantastic stay! We are very grateful for your effort and warm welcome. we will most definitely be back again in the summer and look forward to booking a suite with you again. The only downside was outside people had been smoking and left cigarette buts on the floor which doesn't do the main entrance any favours, however this is more a reflection on people as their is a place to put rubbish and fag ends... only suggestion for the hotel would be to maybe put more bins out there so people can find them easier x

Bad reviewThe customer service was good, the receptionist who worked there was lovely however the hotel felt like I was in a horror movie... I didnt have one wink of sleep. Smelt like an old folks home and would definitely not recommend
