    Hotel del terror

Pésimo sevicio, ya está viejo y descuidado. En el elevador cabe 1 persona y su maleta, los pasillos parecen de película de terror. La ventana de mi habitación jamás cerró y pasé frío en la noche. Definitivamente no me vuelvo a quedar ahí.

Good hotel fir the solo traveller

When I read the reviews .... I was worried However it would seem the previous reviews were written by idiots This hotel is very dated and yes could do with a decorate or two I originally booked for 2 nights in a standard double on the 1st floor and extended my trip to 4 nights in an upgraded room on the 4 th floor with a sea view !!! Good decision considering what I paid! Breakfast was good, too The staff did a professional job considering what they have to deal with a daily basis So in summing up..... Great hotel and staff Will definitely book again....in fact I already have!

    Great hotel for the workers

We booked this last minute as needed somewhere to stay for one night. The price was £37 plus £5 for parking. The car park was full but just managed to get a spot. The reception desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but in desperate need of an update. The lifts really needed a good clean as the doors looked like somebody had sneezed on them and then it had been wiped but smeared. The breakfast was cheap and not recommended but like I said for the price what do you expect. The hotel had a lot of workers staying there, ie. builders, electricians etc. So the price is great for them. Would I stay here again, no but you get what you pay for, for the price paid. By the way I had a good sleep, no noise encountered.

Extremely dirty, not COVID secure, smaller prices at the hotel

Pictures talk for themselves. We paid £15 for a late check-out when we booked, a month in advance and when we arrived there there was a sign with Late check out £10. When questioned, they said if you book in advance it is more expensive. I work in hospitality and, never heard something like this. Booked a double room and the bed was a single size. Asked them for a regular double size bed and they showed us a room where it smelled really bad as ciggarettes. As that was the only room, we decided to sleep in the single bed. I do not recommend booking this hotel.

    Britannia Hotel Bournemouth

The acting Duty Manager Alec was disappointing and could seriously do with a crash course on customer service. Clearly thought out positioning on sanitiser stations, but on the whole its a dated and tired hotel. Although the hotel advertises complimentary WiFi and Alec (Duty Manager) spouted that its only good on the Ground Floor; this is not communicated ANYWHERE else within the hotel nor their website! With the world moving to online processes, more so post COVID-19, connectivity is essential. Many of the TV channels did not work, (BBC2 and C5 other cable channels were showing weak signal) however, Alec did offer to change my room and/or retune the TV. Having spent time and got comfortable and unpacked in the room, (#.125), the last thing I wanted to do was repack and move rooms. I had to hot spot from my other phone in order to use the internet. I enquired about a late check-out, (check-out is 1000h), Alec couldve waived the £10:00 fee owing to the issues in the room, but his sole attention was to charge this amount which seemed to lack any empathy or customer service! The rooms are extremely dated and lack character, even little luxuries such as soap at the wash basin. The lift is minuscule, which means at peak times, if you have luggage equates to a massively long wait. Dinner has to be pre-booked, but nowhere was it made clear from check-in, (disappointing that that was with the Duty Manager Alex), or even throughout the hotel that you need to pre-book dinner. So it was naturally disappointing upon enquiring about dinner with Reception/Alec that Id be unable to dine as I hadnt pre-booked, and simply told ...dinner was now over.... Really poor customer focus and service - which having had a disappointing stay at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool makes me want avoid the Britannia Hotel chain all together!
