Management renege on goodwill gestureWe stayed here for 3 nights last September, booked well in advance, and requested a room at the end of a corridor (hubby is a bit hard of hearing & we didn't want to disturb neighbouring guests). Our room was in the middle of a corridor and was poorly lit. The weather was so hot that we had to sleep with the window open and our room overlooked the kitchen and boiler area. Apart from the cooking smells that wafted up the boiler kicked in every 20 minutes day and night. Hubby slept well but being a light sleeper I hardly got any sleep. On top of that a pressure pump located near the corner of our room activated every time somebody went to the toilet during the night. The next day I bought ear plugs which helped. On day 2 we returned to find our room door unlocked and no housekeeping had been done apart from tea and coffee being replenished. Damp towels were still on the bathroom floor and the bed was unmade. The staff were really apologetic and offered us a change of room and complimentary drinks at the bar. We decided not to move as we only had one more night there. I would like to say at this point that the hotel itself and the staff there at the time were wonderful. When I got back home I emailed the hotel group and received a goodwill gesture of a two night stay with bed and breakfast which was booked for June 2020. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we couldn't go but once the hotel re-opened I emailed and asked if they would still honour the stay but I never received a reply. Shame really as the hotel is ideally located for lots of sightseeing.

Excellent stayWe stayed for two nights as a couple with a dog. Gareth was brilliant and very helpful when it came to suggesting nearby walks and setting up dinner and breakfast for us. Would recommend this hotel for a tranquil stay with options to go visit lots of tourist attractions nearby. Sean and Hazel

2 night stay at Bridge of Cally HotelMy husband and I had a two night stay at the Bridge of Cally Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room and bathroom were very clean and in nice condition. The room was lovely and warm. We had breakfast on both mornings and it was excellent with a very large selection to choose from. We also had dinner on the first night and this too was excellent and good value. Gareth seemed to work tirelessly from dawn to dusk and was very helpful. All in all a great stay and we would recommend it.

Turn on the Heating!Stopped for lunch on way back North, sign said "Warm welcome awaits" but the place was freezing. Other diners were all sitting eating with their outdoor coats on, we sat by a radiator but it was stone cold.. Staff said they could not turn it on, so we left and went elsewhere..... Beats me why others were happy to eat their food shivering with outdoor clothes on!! Judging from other reviews lack of heating in not uncommon at this establishment...

Excellent 2 night stayHaving stayed in the Bridge of Cally hotel several times this stay was just as good as previous albeit not busy. A warm welcome on arrival from Gareth and he was the same every time you met him. Really great breakfast with fantastic choice as is the dinner menu, room and bathroom very clean and hotel staff wore face coverings at all times, Looking forward to our next visit.
