  Highly recommend

  What a wonderful family run hotel. From the first telephone conversation to make the booking to the delicious cooked breakfast we couldn't fault anything. This is the first time we have ventured out during the Covid-19 situation so we wanted to find accommodation that balanced the precautions necessary to stay safe with a comfortable stay and Bridge House Hotel has nailed it. We stayed in Room 6 which was spotlessly clean & beautifully decorated with a huge and very comfortable bed. It was facing the main road so there was unavoidable traffic noise but it didn't spoil the enjoyment of our stay. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, we were provided with a list of recommendations for bars and restaurants with our confirmation email which was so helpful. We chose the Olive Tree restaurant for our evening meal which was amazing....book to avoid disappointment as it is very popular. Other benefits include free parking on site, great location just a stroll into Bridport town and a pleasant walk to West Bay, great breakfast options which is offered in the breakfast room or room service (I recommend the bubble and squeak with poached eggs and bacon!) ....I could go on!!! I cannot recommend this gorgeous hotel enough as a base for anyone thinking of taking a break in Dorset

  Excellent, welcoming hotel

  We had a fantastic stay at the Bridge House Hotel. Friendly owners & team who couldnt do enough for you. We went with our two dogs who had their own welcome pack with beds, treats & bowls for their stay. Great park next to the hotel for quick dog comfort walks. The decor is lovely with a comfortable room & bed......and then theres the breakfast! The Dorset (full English) is all local sourced and delicious (especially the bacon). The porridge is also 5 star. Would definitely recommend staying here as a great location to explore Dorset. We will be back.

  Modernised and Greatly Improved

  This was my first visit to the Bridge House in nearly 10 years. The current owners have done a great job modernising the hotel, whilst retaining it's period charm. Rooms and public spaces are tastefully furnished and high quality. Soft furnishings, bedding, towels, etc were very nice and there was a good selection of toiletries. There are a number of nice touches, such as a fridge with fresh milk for guests and the small bar area. Breakfast had a good range of options and juices, pastries, cheeses were all good quality. The owners and staff I encountered were universally friendly and helpful. In these worrying times, the hotel has adapted to ensure good precautions for all. Tables are well spaced, there is plenty of sanitisers, keys, etc are provided in sealed packages. I was particularly impressed to read that they fog the rooms to minimise risk of infection.

  One night & breakfast

  What a lovely place, lovely staff, great breakfast. Everyone so helpful & friendly in these trying times. Our bedroom & bathroom were so comfortable & well appointed, lovely touches around & so clean & smart yet homely. Will come again we are sure...

  So nicely decorated, makes you feel special staying here

  I've stayed here a few times and have come to love this place, I know you will too. The owners have a really good idea on taste, each room is so nicely decorated and all individual. The place oozes class. All the staff are so friendly. The breakfast is class, just want you want after a good night sleep. Ive added a picture of room 6, that bed made me feel regal. If you're ever needing a nights stay when near to Bridport , make the choice I promise you won't be disappointed.
