  Perfectly placed

  I stayed here one night for the Ed Sheeran concert on 25th Aug. We had an en-suite room, very clean and comfortable beds. Its location is perfect for being near to the places for eating and town. It was also great for getting to the concert. Near to the train station but the noise wasn't a problem at all. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. I am a Coeliac ( Gluten Free) and they were very understanding and able to feed me perfectly with a lovely breakfast. Free onsite parking as well. Great price. What more can you ask for. I can highly reccomend and would definitelt stay again if in Ipswich.

  Good for the price, but with one big problem

  We stayed here for one night. Overall Id say it was a positive stay, although the problems Ill mention below really do need to be sorted. Positives: The price is good - reasonable. The owners/staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is very good as it is near the train station, and yet somehow not too noisy. The rooms were also generally good with nice, large beds and pretty clean for a house which is clearly not new. Breakfast was pretty good as well. Negatives: The showers and toilets were the biggest problems. We stayed in two rooms, and both had shower issues. In one of the rooms the shower wouldnt turn off, while in the other the shower head was clearly broken and so sprayed water everywhere except where you wanted it to go. The toilet in one room was incredibly loud and also faulty as well. Finally, the shower water leaked through and onto the floor with the toilet meaning we had to put towels down to stop it flooding the room. Smaller issues were doors which were difficult to lock and unlock, and sometimes having to wait a while for someone to come and help. The place isnt the Ritz and of course no one would expect that as its a 2-star establishment, but Id say it delivers almost everything youd hope for. I hope they sort out the showers and toilets, though.

  Great value, lovely staff, lovely breakfast room. All good.

  I stay in Ippo often for concerts. I stayed for the first time here on a busy weekend. The Bridge is a lovely old, double fronted house, in a slightly shabby area. Plenty of parking round the side, free. I was greeted by a very pleasant lady upon arrival. My room was at the top 0f the house. It was a bit "diy" and its certainly no Hilton, but the bed was clean and comfy, like the rest of the room. in the morning I was very surprised to find a charming , bright breakfast room with smiling staff and lovely food. I will definitely stay here again.

  Run down and grubby

  Owner was friendly enough but the whole place had a musty,damp smell to it. Decor very tired and grubby. Carpets old and manky. Rooms look clean on first glance but when I took an antibacterial wipe to the surfaces it came off brown and dusty. Toilet flush takes ages to work. It's cheap and you get what you pay for I suppose!

  2 night stay in Ipswich

  You get what you pay for... a very reasonable rate of £35/night and right next to the rail station, but be warned..very basic rooms and the bed had a very thin mattress which you could feel the springs ! Breakfast offered was cooked or continental..but again a fairly basic affair. But if you just need a bed for the night at a rock bottom price then this works.
