Lovely stayWhat a super little hotel very quiet when we visited and the so there were not enough people to open the dinning room and we ate near the pool . The food was a little samey until the hotel filled up and a buffet was laid on however, I can recommend the bric ....a crispy pancake/ omelette My daughter and I traveled out separately , she was delayed and so for the first 2 nights I stayed alone , at no time did I feel uncomfortable the staff were solicitous and seemed genuinely concerned at her elongated complicated journey The chambermaids were fantastic A little French goes a long way If you have a young family then the pool is the main attraction

Yes Basic and quiet but a lovely stay with friendly staffMe, my husband and my 2 daughters (9 & 11) stayed here in May 2015 for 2 weeks. Yes this hotel is basic but for £388 per person (2weeks all inc) it was a absolute bargain. Staff: very friendly. *The manager Gacim was lovely enough to take us to the beach to show us which area belonged to the hotel (meaning free water, sunbeds and parasol) * Hatem - young waiter who always had a smile on his face and after only a few times remembered our drinks order and would bring them over without asking. * Senior waiter and all other waiters - again also very friendly. * Both main chefs again very helpful and although they didn't speak the best English they would always try to help. * Cake man - 4pm he would always bring us cake and make us popcorn, even when we had been on a trip until 6:30 (after snack time) - he made some especially for us. *Reception staff - Always a friendly hello, good service when changing money and ordering taxi's etc. * Man in the hotel shop: Always smiley, happy to help (when our lilo deflated) *Yousseff - We booked a trip through Yousseff as Thomas cook didn't provide the same package We went by horse and carriage through the little side streets so we could see the real djerba, we went to blue lagoon and then onto the crocodile farm. Yousseff came with us, so was our tour guide and photographer. we paid £60 for the four of us!!! Was a brilliant day. * Thomas cook rep - Abdol - Lovely man, who just wanted all his guests to be happy. Saw him around the hotel regularly. The staff couldn't have been nicer and all you had to do was ask and they'd pretty much sort. Thank you. Rooms: clean big, walk in wardrobe, children slept in the living area whilst we had our on bedroom. Pool: clean cold lovely setting, beautiful flowers Food: Good, although very samey, but I think this was because of the small number of guests - (making lots of different dishes would have just been a waste.) Breakfast - omelettes, pancakes, cake, bread. plus cheese, ham etc. Dinner & tea - Salads, chicken, beef dish, fish dish, rice. potatoes/chips and lots of French bread. Entertainment: As we went early season the hotel was very quiet so the entertainment was very limited. However Toto was lovely and we joined in with bowls, darts and gymnastics when we was not reading or in the pool. Fellow guests: Mixture of English, French, Tunisian and Libyan all very friendly apart from one English lady who was just rude and couldn't manage a simple hello. ALL IN ALL A VERY LOVELY RELAXING HOLIDAY THANK YOU.

Not for EnglishUpon arrival the hotel was very nice, the staff couldn't do enough for you. The problems however started from day 1.... there was No night time entertainment and there are no bars/restaurants around the local area to go to unless you got a taxi to a local town (wouldn't know which town to travel too), the hotel became full of local men singing their music till around 3 am, we felt so uncomfortable to even go to the bar and we had no sleep due to their music! we couldn't get involved with this as it was all for the local, not the paying hotel guests. The breakfast was limited but we got along, apart from when all the Libyan guests arrived they eat all the food and the hotel did not restock the food leaving us with just tomatoes and cucumber. There were no working phones in the hotel to contact family, the toilets were not cleaned regularly as one morning they were covered in sick from the night before, I notified the reception who didn't seem to rush to get this cleared. We did get moved from this hotel eventually but i would not recommend this hotel for the English, we were not catered for at all! don't get me wrong the hotel was lovely and the staff were kind and polite if it wasn't for the animation staff there would have been nothing to do in the day either. The hotel may be different at different times of the Year we stayed mid June and it was empty. There is no snack bar the all inclusive is 10am-11pm where as the Thomas Cook rep said it should be until 12pm as most of the hotels are, when we moved hotels we got this privilege from 9am-12pm. They only open the barbecue area when they feel like it, it was open for us as they felt it easier that opening the restaurant, They do have a Beach bar where you can get free water and sunbeds, but this is not open everyday as we found out when we decided to go for a walk. In the room we also got invaded with lots of bugs, the hotel seemed to think it was OK to sleep in a room with them. Don't think so! I don't usually leave reviews but I felt that people need to know before booking exactly what the hotel was like.
