  Staying at a ghost house - a new experience!

  The bedroom and the house facilities are very pleasant ( nicely decorated and spacious) and worth a "very good". However, when we arrived there was no one to welcome us. On calling the owner George we learnt that there was welcome letter waiting for us regarding our reservation, etc. A mediocre breakfast is served at a large dining table - just hope you have friendly people dining at the same time. It was quite cold and the central heating was not on but there was no one to ask for help. We never did get to meet George !

  Quiet and comfortable

  We needed to find a place to stay on Christmas Eve, and Georg arranged for us to stay at the Brandt House in a matter of minutes. While our room was small, the house itself is spacious, beautiful, and comfortable, so we spent time in the evening sitting in a sunroom and enjoying the atmosphere. In our room, the bed was comfortable, lighting was right, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The only complaint: New electrical outlets are needed, as plugs fall out of some of the worn out ones. Breakfast was delicious. The owners make every effort to do local food sourcing, and they keep the main breakfast portions vegetarian. Hard-boiled eggs are available for those who want them. Fresh cookies and cakes, as well as coffee and tea, are available through the day. The house is right down the street from hiking trails, which we took advantage of on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day. The area seems beautiful, and it would be nice to return in the spring or fall for more hiking.

  Great time !

  My husband stay there last night 2/18/20. Absolutely love it ! He said the care taker was very nice. Make an outstanding breakfast. Room and bed very comfortable. Cant wait to take me out there. My husband had work in the western part of Mass and was not happy with hotels, so called the Brandt house.

  Beautiful and secluded

  We stayed here with our two kids in two rooms 4/5 Really loved it!!!! Beautifully decorated this mansion looks and feels amazing The rooms are pretty, the food for both breakfasts and afternoon tea is excellent Both hosts did their best to accommodate my daughters gluten free diet with special cookies It is super clean Just watch the ice in the lower car park and try to stay on the upper one in cold days

  Beautiful place

  We stayed for one night in room nine and had a great experience. The room is large and beautiful and gets wonderful night. The hostess was gracious and helpful and made a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Know that this place is a big old house, so you will hear footsteps and conversations through the floors and walls. That said, they note on their website that they dont accept reservations for bridal parties etc. that could get noisy. We experience no problems whatsoever, and you probably wont either. There is good food not too far away, and historic Deerfield is only about a 10 minute drive. All in all, Brandt house is a much better option than the chain motels in the area.
