  BUEN HOTEL

  Estuvimos en un recorrido por Irlanda y muy bien, hotel muy tranquilo y con una atención muy buena, las habitaciones comidas y limpias, y descansamos muy bien. El pueblo es muy bonito y tranquilo, dimos un paseo después de cenar y nos encontramos con una bonita iglesia.

  Buen hotel, pero demasiado alejado

  Debo empezar diciendo que, según el tipo de visita que se haga, puede ser un gran hotel o no. Las instalaciones son estupendas: habitación gigantesca con baño igual de amplio, cama comodísima y zonas comunes estupendas. Si estais aquí con vuestra pareja o simplemente para relajaros, es vuestro hotel. Sin embargo, está demasiado lejos de cualquier lugar. El trayecto en taxi desde la estación más cercana (Coventry) no sale por menos de 20 libras (24 euros). Si no os importa este detalle, podréis disfrutar de un gran establecimiento. Mención especial para la cena. Exquisitamente cocinada y servida.

  Not a spa, but good hotel & delicious food

  Me and my boyfriend had a lovely stay here however it is not a spa. Its a pool with a steam room & sauna! We were looking forward to the spa experience but were disappointed there was nowhere to sit & relax and the treatment room was very poor including our full body massage. However, the gym suited our needs and the hotel stay was lovely. Staff were friendly and went above & beyond. The food was incredible and the highlight for us, high quality, good portions, good selection and so yummy seriously weve been raving about it since! The lamb steaks are a must try, along with the sausages at breakfast.

  Quite good stay during COVID times and slightly reduced service

  Clean hotel, nice enough room, very polite and helpful staff. Restaurant food was good. It was a reduced choice at breakfast as table service only due to COVID. The English cooked breakfast was good, but even in spite of COVID I think the Continental breakfast was acceptable but a bit lacking, i.e. the the choice could have been a bit more varied. There were just spreads for toast and very small pastries/croissants. Nice location and grounds. Good size swimming pool, could do with decor being maintained more frequently. Didn't sleep too well as the quilts were much too warm.

  One Night Groupon Break 1.11.2020

  So this hotel is set in a country side setting and looks very pretty. My husband & I had a one night Groupon break just before lockdown. We arrived in a rush as we were held up and had booked a massage for the both of us to help unwind. My hubby went straight to the spa area, whilst I went to check in. I waited quite some time to be served at the reception desk as someone else before me was being served. I was however served by a very nice chap in the end. I upgraded the room too, so felt rather excited to begin our stay. I took the bags to the room - which was fine, up lots of stairs and corridors to room 44. I didn't really think that the upgrade was worth it though, as the room in our hotel the night before was actually the same size and with a large king bed! What we got here was a long walkway past the bathroom with a cold towel rail and an empty tissue box, a shower over the bath too, and a lumpy bed which was uncomfortable for both my husband and I, we both had a bad nights sleep. The room did have a coffee pod machine and fancy wallpaper so I guess my £40 upgrade got us something? My husband said that his massage was ok upon his return and then I had mine. The spa? area was very dark, electric candles placed on the floors but not switched on, looked almost like it was closed, even the sales shelves were empty. The place didn't even have lights dimly lit, the lights just were not on, other than in the massage room! The lady doing the massage was pleasant enough but I really didn't think that the massage was worth the money to be totally honest, it was a full body massage, singing and dancing on the website that it was some luxury marine massage...it was not. It was just ok, the same spa music was repeated over and over which was a bit annoying. No candles were lit in the room either, all turned off. A few hours later we tried the sauna, steam & swim areas, which were nice, pool was a tad cold. The ladies changing rooms were all one so no privacy and in your face as soon as you walk into the changing room. Our evening meal took place in what we can only describe as a canteen, which we were incredibly disappointed with. It was very bright in the room, cold & uninviting. No privacy as it was families too, so not the romantic get away we had hoped for. In fact it was a massive disappointment. I had dressed up for the occasion and felt so out of place. The food however was nice. My husband had the Duck and he said it was the best he had tasted for a long time. Breakfast was nice too, could not fault the food. Just change where its eaten! Would I go here again - probably not even on a Groupon voucher. We spent an extra £150 on two weak massages, and a room upgrade that I couldnt see the upgrade. £6 for a Baileys at the bar!
