  We wished we were on honeymoon again

  Breaking our journey home from Cornwall last time we found Brambles and liked it so much we didn't hesitate to book it this time. In our opinion, David and Alison have created the perfect hideaway B&B in a tiny hamlet a few miles off the M5. They are so welcoming and the rooms are very well equipped and superbly comfortable. A shortish stroll down the lane brings you to another hamlet with a pretty good pub for hearty evening fare. Breakfast options were varied and the cooked parts substantial, beautifully prepared by Alison. We were fortunate enough this time to have the four poster room in the main house, which is double aspect with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. We had to tear ourselves away.   Visiting

  This is a special little Gem. Home from home, all comforts catered for over and above the normal. Very welcoming helpful hosts and a very special breakfast indeed, once again more than you would expect. We stayed in the middle cottage that's has a bath and shower over bath, once again everything more than catered for. Cosy place overlooking a well-stocked mature garden and lawn, very beautiful. In our double bedroom was a hairdryer, wine glasses and nibbles. 2 bottles of water, a kettle, lots and lots of choice for tea, coffee, hot choc, flavoured teas to name but a few, even sweeteners for my tea, I found this a lovely touch as unusual in lots of places. Bed clean warm and very comfortable, such a quiet place out of the main town down some country narrow roads with lovely scenery. There is a pub/ restaurant roughly a 15-minute walk, opens at 18.00 hours, again very nice. If we were not relocating to Devon ourselves I would definitely return, I fully recommend this B&B and will continue to do so. Photo is our view for breakfast

  AMAZING B&B for really good price.

  We booked last minute for a 1 night stay and found a real gem. The cottage is a little remote oasis Our room, although a little small, had everything we needed plus lots of extra little personal touches. The bed was very comfortable, the bath and shower just great. All was very clean. We had a vast selection of teas, coffees, chocolate and Horlicks. We also had peanuts and cheese crackers. Alison and David were wonderful hosts, Alison even had the kettle ready boiled in our room for us on arrival! We didnt take breakfast but would be sure it was good We would give brambles 10 out of 10 and if we are in the area again we would certainly return

  Perfect place to stay for a break in Devon.

  On arrival we were greeted very warmly by Alison who showed us to our garden room. The room was very clean & fully equipped for everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The cottage has a beautiful garden with several seating areas to enable you to take in the beautiful views. The local pubs are within walking distance & down country lanes. Cooked morning breakfasts were scrumptious & David & Alison were the perfect hosts, would definitely highly recommend staying here.We were sad to leave Devon & sad to say goodbye to Alison & David but we will return in the not too distant future.

  Lovely stay

  Lovely B&B, owner was lovely and friendly. We stayed in the annexe, which was well equipped, the owner thought of everything. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely touches with biscuits and peanuts Would definitely recommend and when we come back, will be staying here again.
