  Location, Location, Location

  As a first time visitor to Brisbane this was a perfect location in the West End. A young, hip, vibrant area where even us "crinklies" fitted in. We stayed a week at the Botanica Residences and had few complaints. The staff were helpful, the apartment included convenient self parking located in the building, plus the added benefit of a restaurant, BillyKart, located outside its front entrance. BillyKart was a perfect stop each morning for coffee, and also served excellent lunch and evening meals, including takeout....a real plus when you're tired after a day of sightseeing. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment which was very well laid out. For a week's stay the apartment included 1 set of towels per person...a little stingy having one bath towel for the week but the unit did have a washer/dryer with a one use sachet of laundry detergent. Each bathroom was exceptionally clean with a walk-in shower and plenty of space. The kitchen had basic cooking utensils and most importantly, a kettle. And, speaking of miserly, the management also provided a couple of non dairy creamers, a few individual packets of salt and sugar and 2 sachets of dishwashing detergent so our first outing, upon arrival, was to the grocery. The living area was small but comfortable and had a outdoor balcony with table and chairs. This could have been perfect for evening drinks or meals but, even though we were 10 floors up, the street level music from a bar/pub below made relaxing outside difficult on many nights. One bedroom opened up to the balcony too and both bedrooms had queen size beds. Although the unit is quite new, the beds were soft and lumpy...our one major complaint. Our daughter and friend took advantage of the rooftop gym,which is small but uncrowded, and the adjacent outdoor pool area is lovely. All in all, the Botanica was a good choice and we felt the price was reasonable for a 2 bedroom unit.

  Modern with Views

  We really enjoyed our stay at Botanica Residences - in our immaculately clean and well appointed two bed apartment with river views. Botanica' location is essentially within a short stroll to South Bank or a short skip to an amazing array of restaurants and cafe's. Hence, Botanica's secure parking allows you to park and put your keys away for the stay. We found the staff very helpful and willing to assist with any of our queries, we look forward to relaxing again at Botanica Residences.

  West End - South Bank - CBD - all at your feet - great.

  Botanica provided us with all we really required for a short stay in Brisbane with the bonus of a fantastic location at West End and in reasonable walking to South Bank and the CBD shopping area. The complex is quite new and our apartment 2 bed/2 bath very well designed layout with most of essentials. Reception was great and staff friendly. The on site carparking, ground level cafe/restaurant Billykarts, roof top pool and views all bonuses. We very much enjoyed the location akin to newtown/surrey hills in Sydney or St Kilda/prahan in Melbourne, just great with lots of eating options. 10-15 mins to South Bank or a little longer to the city mall area. Biggest disappointment was the quality of the mattresses, which was particularly bad resulting in poor sleep and lots of aches and pains - suggest a substantial upgrade is required. They are a little stingy on the complementary goods as per other TA reviews - but Coles is just a few minutes walk away so no biggie. Loved the appartment, the views even with the noise from the pub across the road - added to the feel, just close the doors if you want some quite. Management also need to ensure cleaning staff check and clear the dryer filter (fire hazard potential) when the rooms are serviced. Happy to recommend and would happily use this facility again.

  Tatty and weird DIY housekeeping

  Paid for 4 star accommodation, got a tatty slightly grubby apartment that needed a clean. Was surprised to read in the apartment documents that I had to leave the apartment clean before I left or charges would apply! This was NOT described on the apartment website. And whoever had the place before me, either got away without cleaning or this was the standard the managers felt acceptable. It was not. The same empty bottle of milkshake sat in an alcove opposite the lifts for the 4 days I stayed here.

  STILL GREAT-

  Booked into Botanica again. Awesome again. We had breakfast down stairs again, This was good. Used the roof top skyline pool on two occasions on really hot nights. Sitting there watching the storms roll across in the distance was a highlight. Over all, place was great, still had that modern clean feel about it and made us feel special. Parking added to the appeal of this package also.
