Wish we could have stayed longer; definitely coming back!Everything about this place was perfect. We had been travelling in Italy for three weeks already and got here after having done the beautiful, but harrowing drive along the Amalfi Coast. What a welcome refuge! We were greeted by the beautiful owner and great lady of the house Angela, who gave us such a warm, welcoming and helpful greeting and meeting. We were exhausted from two days of scenic drives and just wanted a quiet couple of days before carrying on to Puglia. This was it. Angela listened to what we had been doing and asked what we liked. She then made perfect suggestions for how to spend our time there: dinner that night at a splendid restaurant and an after-dinner gelateria, both of which we could walk to in the village, a visit to a gorgeous and quiet uncrowded beach for the next day; then a trip back to the hotel to have time in their gorgeous swimming pool, followed by an after-the-heat-of-the-day evening visit to the nearby exceptional ruins of the ancient Greek city of Paestum that ended at a restaurant she recommended to watch the sunset and night-time illumination of Paestum. We were in the upper house which is like a mini-castle. The room was perfect and included fridge, beautiful views out the windows. Breakfast was stellar. We had the local acqua sale tomato and polenta crouton salad along with a wide array of other excellent breakfast choices, including the best home-made orange marmalade we have ever had. The second morning we even had freshly made pear cake. We cannot wait to come back and spend more time there and explore the beautiful region. Thank you so very much! Chas. Scott

Autumn breakJust arrived back from a week stay at Borgo Riccio. This is a beautiful Italian house which is set just below Torchiara near the top of a hill, therefore the views are spectacular. The rooms are traditionally furnished with comfortable beds and locally made toiletries (made from the olives grown onsite) are provided. Breakfast is continental with fresh breads, croissants, cakes, juices, and jams which were delicious. There is a lovely private swimming pool within the gardens which guests can use. There isnt direct local public transport so ideally you need to hire a car, but our host Angela helped us by arranging for a driver to take us on day trips to see some of the local places of interest. Angela, drove us herself on one of the days - I can honestly say my sides hurt from laughing at the end of the day, we saw things which only someone with local knowledge would know and Angela was very good company! I would definitely go back to Borgo Riccio but would hire a car next time - Alberto and Angela were very good hosts who made us very welcome

A delightful stay in a beautiful, friendly place. We stayed in Borgoriccio for a week with a group of people who had come to discover the hidden beauties and gastronomic delights of the Cilento - an area EVERYONE needs to visit and what better place to do it from than this beautiful home - to call it a hotel does not do it justice. The views of the sea from by the swimming pool are breath-taking. If you are not relaxing in the house you can wander through the garden with its centuries old olive trees. We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable by the adorable staff - Annalisa and Tushara.

Perfect choiceI chose Borgoriccio for our stay on Amalfi coast and did not regret it for a minute. At the end of August during COVID time we were almost the only guests in this beautiful and cosy house. We had the room downstairs - cool, big and comfortable - "camera fresca", as Angela (the owner) called it. We had the beautiful swimming pool all for ourselves. Angela was very nice and helpful, giving us advice, information and making reservations. Thank you, Angela !
