Lovely accommodation for a relaxing stay.We stayed here for 6 nights and can recommend it for anyone who wants a quiet away from it all getaway. Things got off to a great start when we were upgraded from a studio annexe to a very large 3 room, 2 balcony apartment. The complex is low rise (2 floor max) and the rooms are set in well kept gardens. We were in block G, a good 5 minute walk from the reception and bars and shops. The 3 rooms we had were, very large bathroom with a shower, bedroom with its own balcony and a very large kitchen/dining/ living area. This room also had a large balcony with a table for eating al fresco. Included in the very reasonable rates were your own sunbeds on the nearby private beach. There are several restaurants around the port and it is a pleasant stroll to a nearby larger beach.

good and not so goodFour, mixed, over-60's stayed the first week of June. We booked via 'on the beach' and were told we had superior accom. to our dismay we were shown to a studio that was entitled 'superior' as it contained an air conditioning unit. it was explained that basic accom. had no such unit. The studio absolutely reeked of stale tobacco smoke and my wife explained that this was not what she had booked. She explained to the complex's manager (Dario) that we wanted better apartments as described by the On the Beach rep. Dario explained that there was a large wedding party who were leaving in 24 hours time and that he would swap us once their apartments had been cleaned. To our surprise Dario re-emerged 20 minutes later and told us that he would move us immediately. The apartments that we were taken to fitted, exactly, the description as related to us by the bookings rep. What a relief! These apartments were spacious, clean from tobacco smells and were 'right up our street', so we were off to a great start. The digs had lots of facilities within the kitchen but this could have been improved by the supply of a kettle as we had to boil water in a saucepan and use a cup to fill our tea and coffees. Also, a microwave oven would have been handy. The cups were a little worse for wear and the tumblers were too small. The cutlery was short of one large, sharp knife for slicing bread veg etc. Having said all that, apart from the little niggles aforementioned, the kitchen and it's facilities were fine. It was our first trip to Sardinia. The resort itself is small and quiet, perfect for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. it is suitable for young families and older travellers but not ideal for the 18 to 30 brigade. The beach was very near and had sunbeds and umbrellas which were free to use having been given a weekly, exemption ticket from Dario. The entry into the sea is rocky, in the main, but there are sandy patches which we all used to wade in and get deep and enjoy the warmth of the water. There are two beaches but as it was early in the season one of them had not been prepared with sunbeds/umbrellas but you could still use it if you wanted to be more secluded. We were very disappointed to see the state of the swimming pool which was blocked off It was hidden behind a fence and looked as though it hadn't been used for at least five years. This was indeed a great shame as it's position, size would have been a perfect asset for this establishment. I have enclosed photographs of this area inb my submitted pics. The restaurants are ok but they are not cheap. What surprised us was that meals seem to be a first course which is between 10 and 15 euros and a main course which again is between 10 and 15 euros. once you get the hang of it you just order either a starter or a main. We don't really like pizza but they proved to be the best value meal and they were large enough for the hungriest person. They were 10 to 12 euros and had a wide variety of toppings. They were all freshly made on the bar/restaurant on site. All of the restaurants within the vicinity charged roughly the same. As Brits we are accustomed to having french fries with our steaks and our fish dishes, the Italians are not. So a word of advice, if you want to have chips with your meal explain to the waiter that you want to eat said chips at the same time as your steak/fish meal. We found to our cost that they serve the main meal, then just as you're finishing that (thinking they haven't understood the request for chips or that they have forgotten to inform the chef) hey presto! the chips arrive but your meal has already been eaten. As over-60's we are not glued to our mobile phones but it is handy to have wifi for messages home, news from home, even booking excursions etc. However, the wifi area at the bar was not working for 3 out of the 10 days we were there. I had lost a credit card and couldn't inform my bank as I did not know their helpdesk number and couldn't look it up. Grrrr! We booked a boat trip to St Magdalina island and the adjacent archipelago. This was 50 euros each, however, as we hadn't yet hired a car the transfers to the boat cost the 4 of us an added 100 euros. In hindsight we should have booked the hire car a day earlier as this was only 45 euros per day. We had a great holiday and I don't wish to be too picky but a coat of paint would do wonders for the place and the grounds could be better manicured. The pool is the biggest disappointment. I hope you enjoy the pics i have enclosed. Once more let me praise Dario, he was a genuine guy and very helpful, as were all of the staff at this establishment.
