Poor conditions of cottagesThe best at first: the location right at the beach, shady coconut tree plantation and spacious bungalows. The staff from Sheridan Villas - who is now the owner of this place is very friendly, but they are not present at Lotus Point. The guys who are hanging around there instead are quite ok. Long time ago it seemed to be a great place to stay but when we stayed there in Jan. 2016 the fan cooled cottages were really run down. The terasse had holes, rusty nails, the water was not running well and even the floor inside had holes. For the price of 2800 per night this was completely unanccepable. In addition there is no restaurant or any other facilities. Also WIFI is not available. It seems that Sherdidan Villas starts some maintainance there now, but so far we would not go back there again.

Warning: No more paradise, how sad ... don't stay there! This used to be the place for my yearly vacation on Boracay for the past 10 years. I won't stay there anymore. During my 3 days stay, my room was not cleaned. There used to be daily cleaning before ownership changed. No more watering of the garden either, so this once lush green paradise is now dusty, with buliding material scattered all over the garden and the reception area. Staff is not unfriendly, but elect to forget promised cleaning of the room and the wake up call, asking for tips, though. The new owners intend to replace the bungalows with a hotel, not sure when contruction starts. Some preparatory work is going on already, nevertheless rooms are advertised.

NeglectedWas looking forward to coming back to Angol Point having stayed there 21years ago. Unfortunately, the excitement was very short lived. The place has been neglected and is falling apart, but they keep renting it out for top money. Shower was just awful, barely a drop and no hot water. I complained, but was told there was nothing that could be done as parts had to come from elsewhere. After 4 days of no shower, we come back to find it working. I tried emailing and ringing the Sheridan head office, but did not get a reply. I tried calling, but the phones are not picked up. Rusty nails poking out through the floor so had to send our daughter to stay with other members of our family so as not to have an accident and the rooms don't get cleaned unless you ask someone to clean it. We were there for 8 days and the room only got cleaned once. Only 1 person running this place and she has had no previous experience. They wanted full payment to cancel our booking!! Very disappointed and feel ripped off. They charged normal prices for very sub standard accommodation. Don't waste your time and money staying here. The new owners are going to knock the place down to put up a massive resort, but are getting as much money as they can while this happens and not spending any money on the up keep. Shame on you.

Best place ln the islandI was so happy I was here! Unless you have the money for station 1, this is really still a nice part of the island. Far away from the dirty, overcrowded station 2 (eww!) yet still close enough if you feel like going there to party or dive into the hundreds of tourist that are gathering there. Dinner spots are close here and the beach is clean. No beach beds are offered but the restaurants next to it give you one for consumation of a drink. The rooms are basic but clean and the little hutt is cute I think. Do not expect a 5*, but for backpackers it is perfect. I was very very thankful i got a spot here!!

Great staff, locationOnly steps from the beach, partial ocean views, on a quieter part of the busy strip, but yet only a short walk from busy bars and restaurants. The staff was fantastic, helpful, friendly, welcoming. We loved them! The huts are spartan, nothing luxurious, but the price for that location makes it a great bargain.
