Clean & Friendly, Great locationArrived and the staff were very friendly. They helped us check in and showed us the room. We needed help with food and places to go and transport and they were more than happy to help. The apartments are in a quiet area and a 1minute walk from Dover beaches. Plenty of food in the area and a great supermarket & coffee shop.

Brilliant - All 9 rooms! We went to Barbados to get married and booked 9 rooms for us and our guests. I cannot rate this place highly enough, clean spacious, very polite and helpful staff! It is a few minutes walk from the beach, the shops, the bars/restaurants and ATM. We only stayed a week, but i would be happy to stay here long term, there was nothing that i could complain about! Sherry was super helpful from the outset, changes to the booking, moving of rooms, and everything worked out perfectly. She continually checked to ensure we were happy and assisted if we needed anything. I would have no hesitations about going here again. Just brilliant! THANK YOU to all the staff!

Turned out great! The first unit was way too small for our month long vacation. We upgraded to the 3 bedroom house. The space was very large with a huge kitchen. However, after moving in, we found that we had no hot water, and very little water coming out of the kitchen sink. We finally got hot water after 2 1/2 weeks. Kitchen water after 3 weeks. Carlene and Crystal kept it pretty clean. Maid service twice a week. Laundry room $20 per load. We did not use it. Great location! Alvin, who was in the office in the evening, was great. He tried very hard to get things done. The last week of our vacation was wonderful. We has three friends stay with us the last 4 days. We were very comfortable in the end.

Scammed in Dover Beach and OistensWe did not book with Bonanza, but our representative, Dwayne Johnson placed us here and we had no choice but to accept it because there was nowhere else to stay. We had originally booked something called Dover Beach Apartments through booking.com. Dover Beach Apartments does not appear to actually exist, but can be found in bits & pieces on Air B&B. We were a group of four who were supposed to have a pool and a full apartment per couple. Each apartment was going to include a bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom. But instead at the Bonanza we got no pool, one tiny filthy kitchen, one miniature bathroom and two bedrooms. Fridge didn't work, bathroom was grungy and so small you could barely stand in it, there was a lack of towels and toilet paper, no blankets for the beds, the air conditioner leaked, the safe was broken, and there were bugs. Somewhere along the line, this scam artist managed to convince our group that a 25% discount per night was a good deal. The Bonanza should have been free, since we didn't get anything we'd asked for, we were stressed out, and our holiday was ruined. All this began when two evenings earlier, Dwayne had picked us up at the airport and dropped us off in the dark at a house we hadn't rented, and he refused to give us an address. We eventually learned that this first place was called Hythe Villa. We had no where else to go, and had to stay there. It was, to say the least rather scary not knowing where we were and getting no answers. Also, we were no where near the beach, which had been a priority originally, so after two nights, Dwayne promised to move us to a better location, which turned out to be The Bonanza. We were all unfamiliar with Barbados and were very uncomfortable with the whole situation. Dwayne Johnson appeared to be working with a number of other people - one of whom we saw at both Hythe Villa and at The Bonanza. Dwayne's story on why we didn't get our originally booked units kept on changing. One day it's because a toilet is broken, another day it's because the place is no longer available for various reasons. He eventually said that he manages a large number of properties and that we had been placed in Air B&B's, not booking.com residences. Whenever Dwayne was confronted about why we didn't trust him, he started yelling at us. At one point he grabbed my hands and hurt me. At another he told one of our party that he did not like dealing with a woman, and he belittled the men for allowing me to speak to him. If Barbados depends on tourism for much of its economy, it needs to stop this type of scamming from happening. We felt we were in a dangerous situation. I will not recommend Barbados to anyone and in fact will be sure to tell people never to go there.
