It was a nightmareMy family an I stayed there from 01 to 08 July 2020. We were the first visitors since they've opened. The rooms were dirty, with bugs. They didn't cleaned the rooms or changed the towels the whole time we stayed! At our arrival the beach bar wasn't opened and many facilities were also closed. This was the worst vacation I've ever experienced! The score is too high. This isn't a 4 star hotel, it's maximum a 2 star! If you want to have a great experience, don't book a room here!

In the hugs of OlympA spacious area of resort spreaded out under the legendary mount Olymp made our vacation from the first day. It creates a special mythical charm. Pearly sunsets and fresh sunrises are accompanied by a rich selection in the restaurant and drinks in bars. The Ultra All Inclusive program includes 3 meals a day and drinks until 23:00 pm free of charge. Snacks are avaliable untill 18:00. Very friendly and professional staff were organised and well learned according to Covid protocol. It made us feel safe and comfortable.

Relatively ok hotel shame about staff choices.Recently stayed at the hotel, food was ok. Hotel room clean but basic. My main issue was the fact the life guard was more interested in flaunting herself and grooming herself rather than her job. The pool was more her cat walk rather than her job and many of the guest I spoke to agreed. I think she thought she was in the playboy mansion than a family resort.

Almost excellent!Almost excellent because there is a HUGE difference between ultra all inclusive provided by Turkish resorts and Greek ones. Despite offering an ultra all inclusive service, the bars closed at 23 hrs. The food offer between meals was poor, consisting of wrapped sandwiches (like the ones in the gas stations) and ice cream. The beverages were OK, mostly from brew machines (if you wanted a bottled Heineken, let's say, you would have to pay for it). The staff is friendly and helpful, most of them speak a good English. The room we stayed in was large (in the bungalows, at the 1st floor), with a balcony looking over the beach. A king sized bed and extra bed for the child. The bathroom is spacious, with a tub and hairdryer. The air conditioning system was also great in these hot summer days and nights. The food at the restaurant was various and tasty. In the evening there were many fruits also and ice cream. The sunbeds and parasols were free of charge in the whole area (near the pools, in the garden and on the beach). The pools were clean but not so warm and were opened only between 9.00 and 19.00 hrs. The beach area and seaside is sandy (only entering the water are small rocks; after that are bigger a few meters, so it is better to wear some water shoes). It is a private beach and the sunbeds are only for the resort's clients. The resort is about 5 minutes away by car (or 30 minutes walking) from Leptokarya's center, where you can find many restaurants, taverns, gift shops or supermarkets. And if you want to visit around different places, there are Thessaloniki (90 km), Meteora Monasteries (150 km), Platamonas Castle (10km), Palaios Panteleimonas (15km - a stone built small village), Mount Olympus (30Km - to the entrance of the Mount Olympus National Park). The covid-19 measures were kept by the staff. There was sanitizer in all the public areas, the room cleaning was performed only by request (1 day before you had to ask for it at the reception) and the restaurant staff was wearing masks and gloves.

Last min CovidI thought Id write a review before we leave 26/8. Its 23/8/20. We initially was going to Maritius to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and my husbands 50th birthday but Covid had other ideas. Cancelled twice. After a scramble of a last min holiday we settled on Greece. With limited travel and days we chose the Bomos Olympus Grand Resort. Being well aware that not everything is in place thanks to Covid we still decided to holiday. On arrival after an hours taxi journey from Thessaloniki airport we arrived at the hotel. At reception we was informed thanks to Covid we couldnt check in until 4pm. (It seems Covid is an excuse for everything every where in the world) We went to the dining room to eat lunch. The food is ok for all inclusive and as we follow a vegan diet (for health reasons) we are aware not every where caters for this so we opt for vegetarian. The food like most all inc places is repetitive different nights. You cannot use the utensils and are served by a member of staff which is frustrating when you are waiting in a line of people. The portions that are served are massive and in my opinion a lot of food is wasted. Theres definitely no social distancing in the dining hall. The labels for the food are in Greek/English and German but are not very well edited. Theres also no decent choice for children. You know the staple diet of fish fingers and chicken nuggets. Especially helpful if you have a child that has autism so certain foods are out the window. There is pizza available freshly cooked but only a small oven so an 8 slice pizza is gone after two people have queued for it. Theres a good selection of grilled meat and fish. Our youngest son just ate chips and plain spaghetti. Breakfast is the same every day and Ive not seen any baked beans, may be because there are not many English here, I dont know.? However I dont want a full breakfast daily. Beans on toast is a simple meal. Theres a good selection of drinks in the restaurant, usual fizzy, water, red/white wine and larger. Again you have to queue for these. In the morning theres coffee, tea and juice. Theres cereals, cold meats and pastries to choose from as well as fruit. The strangest thing Ive seen at breakfast is salad. Theres not much to do here, other than pool and beach. Theres no night time entertainment here either. Just 2 TVs showing football from a couple of years ago. The music isnt loud which is ok but some times a bit of music heard over head is good. The kids bring their iPad to sit in the bar area. A God send. I still think some form of entertainment could have been put on no matter how rubbish my husband says it is. It breaks an evening up. My son said the pool could do with a slide. Not like the water park slides. The childrens park is off limits. Although only small. The pool bar is small but drinks are available. There are snacks available, although they are only available at 12 noon. A sandwich wrapped in cling film. Once they are gone thats it so I was informed. There is no choice of crisps, nuts to have as a snack. Even though these are sealed. The sandwich choice is ham and cheese together. We asked at lunch could we have some jam (available at breakfast) to put on a bread roll that they have lots of only to be told they had none. Strange as it was in a massive bowl a couple of hours earlier and available the next day. The room we stayed in 612 has a view of the mountain one side and a balcony on the opposite side with a very obstructed sea view. Its a 3 min walk to the restaurant, reception and shop and no more than a 5 min walk to the beach. Access is good from what I have seen although a wheel chair or pram would have to be carried to the front of the beach. The board walk stops half way. Beach is sandy and pebbles near the water. The beach is clean, a man disinfects the loungers and tidies up. Theres a shower and foot wash on the beach. Also a bar just before you hit the beach. There is an exclusive area with two hot tubs and 4 poster beds plus loungers but you have to be in a certain part of hotel to use these. The shops at the min are empty and the fish bar. We took a trip to the next town where it was on appearance run down, most likely Covid. It cost 5 in a taxi. Apparently you can visit Mount Olympus and its 40 one way. Said to be stunning. On the beach further down in the town which is 20 min walk or 5 taxi is a water entertainment which looks good but you have to be 12 years and older and it costs. The place is clean, tidy and the staff work long hours. They are very friendly. Will we come again, Im not sure.
