  Nostalgic memories shattered by crude realities!

  Had many beautiful memories about this historically wonderful location which was a must road stop for many travelers. Apparently the newly built facilities kept the beautiful location yet not much else from its past. Facilities are very much upgraded with indoor/outdoor swimming pools, soccer fields and indoor basketball court. On the other side, service and food quality have suffered dramatically, to the point where one cannot even recommend the place for a quick bite on a road trip, let alone for a leisure trip there. If visiting the region, staying around the Abant lake national park would be a much more enjoyable option.

  Good enough stay

  Hotel was our pit stop between Cappadocia and Istanbul and because the place is high above sea level (think 1500m) it is quite chilly - wear a jacket. Apparently the hotel caters for the people who visit the ski mountain nearby during winter. It had been recently refurbished as the hotel is relatively old. We enjoyed the stay in the room and it is spacious enough (with a balcony too). Only problem I have was that the bathroom is way too small and the shower place barely fit me (as there are glass doors). Had a bit of odd smell entering the room too. The food during dinner and breakfast was OK, but need more variety. We also went to the spa to get a turkish bath (30m) and 50min massage - total cost was around 300lira per person. They can organise for couples to be in same room for the massage too. Was pretty good massage and it was from 2 Balinese girls. They also have both indoor and outdoor swimmin pool. Overall a rather comfortable stay in this hotel

  One night stay

  Stayed only one night. Check in: smooth Wifi: fastest among all Turkey hotels I stayed, can watch YouTube Room: good sized, king bed, space for luggage Good hearing, nice balcony with great view. TV has many English channels Bathroom: tiny but function, enclosed shower, great water pressure Dinner: great spread but no live station. Good beef items Breakfast: usually spread, but no cold drinks like juice or water. Tea coffee hot chocolates available. Not bad. Did not have time to use indoor pool or spa. Good hotel. Room corridors were dark.

  Dark Hotel next to a Forest

  We stayed at the hotel on the way to Cappadocia (from Istanbul). The hotel is located next to a forest so it is ideal for people who like to trek in the forest. It was getting dark when we checked in so there was not enough time to trek before dinner. The hotel lobby was dark as lights were turned off. The hallways were dark too. I think the management is extreme in their energy conservation initiative. The room was ok with balcony but the balcony door was not locked. We had to get someone from the hotel to teach us how to lock the balcony door. The window can be locked but it is fully open when left unlock (someone can climb in through the window). The air conditioner was not working. After i got it working to cool the room, the air conditioner turned into a heating system the next morning. There was a stench from the toilet so we had to always close the toilet door. It was clean but the stench may have come out of the drainage since the toilet was clean.The telephone shower was working fine but the overhead shower didn't work. There were no dental set provided so make sure that you bring your own toothbrush and dental paste. No soap, shampoo or conditioner ion bottles provided since they installed soap & shampoo dispensers inside the shower and at the sink. Dinner & breakfast were at the ground floor restaurant. Very limited variety of dishes. The apples were with black spots during dinner time and they were the same appled on the buffet table the next morning. Bellboys were available but we had to carry our own luggage to the room. The lights were off when we went down for breakfast. Only the lights were on at the front desk area.

  Great stopover between Cappadocia and Istanbul

  Nice, clean and comfortable room with bakcony overlooking beautiful views. Beds are comfortable with clean bedding and 4 great pillows. Towels provided are clean, so is the bathroom. The room is very well-lit and well-provided with amenities. The heater was a real bonus as it was getting cold at night during our stay. The bathroom is a little cramp but well-provided. The water pressure is good except that the shower enclosure did not function properly and water splashed out onto the whole bathroom. There is a beautiful surrounding, like a mini forested area outside the hotel with great walking trails, a tree-house and some recreational facilities. There is also a clean indoor heated swimming pool which is a real bonus for the cold winter months Buffet spread is widespread and taste of food is good. Dining restaurant is cozy and comfortable and not so crowded like many other hotels which are flooded by big tour groups. WIFI reception is pretty good.
