Wonderful and a truly amazing staffI went to this resort to ski with friends for a weekend. We stayed over night at the resort and some members of our group purchased skiing lessons. The instructors name (im Pretty sure) was Mike. He was a very patient and thorough instructor and really assisted every member of the class to where they were at. The trails were very well maintained and it was a wonderful place to ski. The staff at Bolton Valley were amazing! They were very helpful with EVERYTHING you could ask for. If you are taking your first trip on the ski lift, dont worry they got you! If you need a glass of water at the hotel theyll get it for you! I forgot something in the hotel room and I live far away.... They mailed it to me! The friendly staff made this experience so amazing! Thank you for an amazing visit!

Nice family resort with great staffThis is a typical Vermont ski style resort. A bit on the old side but great friendly staff and you are able to traverse the hotel via the corridors. Ski in and out. Rooms lead to the lifts. The Friday was warm which made the snow heavy and slow. The next day was cold and windy which prompted the resort to close the peak lifts which meant we had to spend the day skiing icy beginner runs. The resort must cater to families with young children. We had fun in the end.

NO ACI dont normally write reviews, but I am writing this to help possible travelers who are considering staying at this hotel. There is only AC in certain rooms. We happen to get put in a room without AC on a night that reached the 90s. I never saw on the website that there was no AC, it could of been in the fine print. So if you are staying in July make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. This was very unfortunate because everything else was quite lovely. The location and other amenities were great.

The shiningI learned to ski here in the 80s I had very fond memories & thus decided to bring my son to keep the tradition. Unfortunately my memories have been tarnished by the state of disrepair, abandonment & lack of the basics. When I checked in I was told, that they basically cant keep staff to do housekeeping. Not so, they hire young kids from abroad to work the lodge. Lets just say I left early because conditions were so sad and unbearable we decided to risk it o. Jan. 1rst 2020 no less. They kept telling me that they are having a tough time beca of the snow. I dont believe it, this place is in shambles. It is not clean. I had made my reservations in September and made sure to request a sleeper for my son, guess what? They said they did not have any. WTH, I paid 150.00+ for a room that looked like a motel room from the 70s. Sorry my heart was broken at the state of the resort. I do not recommend this resort, it looked more like a hostel. I was given one little piece of hotel soap for 3 days the shower was an experience as it would change temperature as if possessed, you either froze or burned. If you go, go to ski. Dont stay there.

Bday trip part 1Stayed on the resort. Room clean and had the basics. Not super spacious but who needs that to sleep. Quiet family resort, conditions were pretty good. A bit cold the first day, but welcome to winter. Would return with the kids as the mountain is smaller and could easily be navigated by the kids. A fair amount of flat transition areas mid mountain that caused a fair amount of walking with snowboards. A good fix of trails for each ability. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed the uphill travel routes, although creating on in the woods would be awesome. The views are breath taking from the summit. WIFI was not great. Occasionally could connect in the room.
