  Great Stay

  we took 10 classic cars on a tour based at this hotel and couldn't fault it. The rooms were comfortable and clean the food was very good. We were given home made Cheese straws with our drinks which were delicious and Petit fours with coffee a really nice touch. Thoroughly recommended.

  a dream come true

  a wonderful place to stay ,the rooms are a little tired but typically French and the food and service were to die for ,super service and wonderfully presented by two young experts,great,. The Christmas decorations were inspired and suited the ambience

  Lovely place to eat and stay

  Bois Joli is a lovely place to go for a celebration meal. Lovely setting in Bagnoles , a stunning place to spend a day or weekend, very picturesque . You can stroll around the lake , visit the shops and enjoy a fab meal at The Bois Joli.

  First meal in this excellent restaurant

  My wife and I and a friend had a superb meal tonight in this restaurant. The ambiance of the house and immaculate gardens was matched by the attentiveness of the staff once inside. An unhurried aperitif whilst we consulted the menu was followed by a glorious meal. An amuse bouche of cockles in sauce, then starters of foie gras and langoustine. Our main courses of steak, pigeon and veal, then a comprehensive cheese platter, followed by desserts to die for: perfect souffles and a chocolate paradise. All wonderfully prepared and presented. Our compliments to the chef. Superb wines, a Pomerol and a Sauternes, complimented their courses in splendid fashion, followed by the obligatory digestifs (Calvados - well, we are in Normandie) in the lounge. A truly enjoyable meal, the best we have had since moving up from Toulouse a year ago. The only puzzle is why more people dont know about the place. A real gem that we will return to with pleasure.

  Beautiful building, spacious rooms, very good restaurant and a nice garden

  This a a comfortable hotel. A bit old fashioned in the positive sense of the word. Kind and helpful staff. The restaurant is very good at an affordable price for menus and wines. Nice garden to relax in.
