A fabulous gem to stay in, superb staff, beautiful room, excellent food.We spotted this on our way to Winsford and, as it looked so inviting, decided on our next journey to the area we would try it. On speaking directly to them to make the booking it was a refreshing friendly conversation. On arrival we were shown to our room by a member of staff who was friendly and helpful. She even made enquiries for costing a taxi for us. On our return from a BBQ we had drinks at the bar with the friendly locals. We had room 12 with large windows viewing up and down the road. (now known as 'nosey room' because of the wide ranging view). The room was very clean and bathroom spotless. Colour coordinated towels too. Large bottle of water to make tea and coffee which was amply supplied. We had a great nights sleep, the road traffic caused no issues and, due to the comfort of the bed, we are reviewing our own bedding at home. Breakfast was just superb. We had the full English. What a start to the day! We will be staying here again.

Great placeWe stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting an event nearby. What a great place! Very accommodating. The room has everything you need, comfy beds, tea and coffee making facilities, lotions and potions in the bathroom. Breakfast was included and as vegans they catered for us well. A lovely dining area with a freshly cooked breakfast made to order, toast and cereal available to help yourself. Very friendly staff. We would definitely visit again when in the area.

A warm welcomeCalled in for the first time recently and was very pleasantly surprised, the victorian splendour of the exterior is matched with a warm & cosy yet modern feel inside. Attentive staff and a great range of beers wines and spirits await and the food was good. For those using the canal it would b a good stop off point.

Lovely stayDuring this difficult time, they only have a few rooms open so the guests can eat with the required social distancing. The room was nicely presented and the bed was very comfortable. Evening meals were all made locally onsite and were lovely. The landlady went out of her way to make my stay enjoyable even coming down to let me in when I got back late one night.
