  Great Layout and Value

  Having just played this course as well as Grand Prix and Mida, Blue Sapphire was my choice as best overall experience and value. The course was is very reasonable condition and has a fantastic layout, with most holes having significant doglegs, and lots of hazards and bunkers to challenge your shot making. Whilst Grand Prix is a championship quality course, the price on weekday of 3100baht, compared to Blue Sapphire on a weekend at 1650baht, the value combined with layout is a great combination.

  Patchy Greens and Bad Fairways

  The course is in sore need of maintenance. The tee boxes and fairways were uneven and dried out over the dry season. The greens are patchy and unpredictable. We could see that the design of the course was challenging and interesting but the poor condition of the course took much of the joy of playing on this course. One saving grace is that the caddies were professional despite the poor condition of the course. They took great pain to look for our ball that seemingly landed on the fairway but got hidden in some bad patches.

  Good layout but bad green!

  We got a good deal for golf at Blue Sapphire. The golf layout was good. The green wasnt well maintained. The caddy was friendly and helpful. The golf cart was good. We didnt stay at the hotel. They have the lakeside room.

  Great place and price to play

  Just played the 2 courses, Canyon & Ocean View. The Canyon course was in good shape both greens and fairways. The Ocean course was also in good shape but a couple of greens were under repair. The caddies we had were great and very knowledgeable. The Ocean course is a tougher course with lots of water hazards and narrower.Their promotional price was super. 999 B per person which included green fees, caddy, room for 1 night and breakfast. 2 people must share. Shared cart is only 700B.

  A big challenge

  One thing is for sure, its both low priced and very challenging. The course certainly feels like you are playing in a quarry but thats hardly surprising as its built upon the site of ex sapphire mines. Dont expect amazing tee boxes or pristine greens but if you seek intimidating par 3s over the water toward pea sized island greens then look no further. It felt like the whole course could do with a bit of TLC but if you are looking for a demanding and challenging course to lose a few balls then look no further - its here.
