  Abysmal WiFi and no face covering enforcement

  The room was spacious with outlets on each side of the bed which is a big plus for me. I couldnt get on the WiFi so I stood at the front counter while the receptionist took incoming calls. When I was finally able to explain my issue getting an incorrect password message I was told to keep trying because sometimes there were problems with iPhones. I spent a lot of time trying and eventually I got on. A few minutes later the WiFi symbol on my phone disappeared. We stayed here 3 nights and rarely were able to get WiFi. One thing I wish they would have done is to put up a big face coverings required sign on the front door. They did have various signs indicating social distancing and related COVID-19 suggestions but the print was small, and in Colorado at this time there was a governors order that face coverings are required inside public places. Most of the people in the motel were not wearing face coverings and the management did not seem to care enough about their other guests health to encourage people to comply. I understand that you cannot wear a mask while youre eating so we choose to avoid the breakfast room. The pool was open and there was a limit of 10 people. It would have been safer to limit it to one group at a time and restrict the pool time to something like 15 minutes. There was a sign that said that we would not be receiving housekeeping service, but we did for the first day, then had trash removal after that. A positive thing was the abundance of hand sanitizer. To open the motel entry doors required you to touch them so it was great to immediately be able to sanitize your hands. I felt that my health was at risk here, and had to pay for most of my own data so cannot give a very high rating.

  Best place to stay in Rangely

  We spent the night here after visiting friends and Dinosaur Nat'l Monument. The room was clean but out-dated. The TV had an analog tube tv that made it difficult to read the channel offerings as the signal was digital. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. There is no elevator if you want to stay on the second floor. The hot breakfast was left to our devises with microwave breakfast burritos of cold pre-made egg / sausage sandwiches. Overall, this is still the best place to stay in Rangley.

  Bad housekeeping

  We found our housekeeper Krista going through our belongings. Next time try not to hire a drug addict. Who does these background checks because from the looks of it she does not come from money shame on you

  Great place!

  We have stayed here many times now. Our rooms are always clean and super comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love sitting out on the patio drinking my coffee in the mornings or chatting with friends at night. This is the perfect place to stay while enjoying all there is to enjoy in the Rangely area!

  Dotties

  Easy to find. The first thing you see when you drive into town is Dotties Kitchen, which was tasty and friendly. Same parking lot as the hotel. The chicken nachos are big and grilled perfectly. The virgin specialty drinks added variety.
