Beautiful island and resortI stayed at the Blue Resort for one week with my friend. The acommodation was quite new and very clean (very lovely bungalows). The location was very convenient, 3 min to beach and restaurants! In general, Koh Chang is a beautiful island with white sand beaches, but no big parties next to the blue resort. That was not a big issue for us as we were looking for some quiet and relaxing days on the beach. Only shortcoming was the breakfast and sevice there. No variation and english speaking staff at all.

I am trying to locate a mouse in the room. Its my fifth day of staying in the room. Despite the dead cockroach i found the first day, we had a pleasent stay. An hour ago i was woken up by a mouse grinding on wood. Trying to locate it, i found that the hole area behind the closet looks like the builders ran out of wood leaving a huge entrypoint for rodents. How can a responsible builder can leave an area of the wall untreated like this? I mean if you move the closet you can see the cement. Ok, maybe the closet is a part of the wall, but shouldn't they close the holes properly? The bungalow is located on a lake! There should be mice geckos and cockroaches all around the area, but they should make sure all this cannot find an entrypoint. The floor is wooden but very slippery you have to be carefull you can end up in the hospital easy. The windows dont close completely and you may find it dificult to lock the door of the room. It took us 3 days to figure it out. The wifi is ok but not always. The good things of the resort is the lake and the environment in general. We can see fish in the lake and we enjoy to feed them everyday. I am paying 30 euros a day for the room i dont think i would stay again unless i payed 10 euros a day. You can still find bungalows for this price and located on the beach. And for 30 euros you can find better options than this.

Good energy roode staffThe resort is around a small pond. Rooms are basic but nice andClean . The bad is craky and to hard. Because it built on the water with a wooden floor its very noisy, you can hear the other room gusts walking or doing what thay are doing, at night.

DO NOT STAY HEREFirst of all, the location currently listed on Agoda is incorrect. This is near Marcos Italian ristorante and the crocodile show. Normally I'd talk about the rooms, location, environment and general service, but this time is different. There is a plaster plank walkway that encircles about a third of the pond featured in the photos here. While walking from my room to that of my friends, one of the plaster planks broke beneath my foot, with my entire left leg following suit. When I pulled myself out of the hole in the walkway, one staff member came over to assist, although he applied very curious first aid, pouring a bit of water on my wounds, stroking them gently and blowing on them. Yes, it's as weird as it sounds. Eventually the other staff and the manager came over to check on my status. They offered saline solution and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the hospital, for what it's worth. I felt a bit roughed up, but from my own analysis it didn't seem to be more than deep bruises and scrapes, although my right ankle might be suffering from the sudden shift of carrying my entire body's weight and failing. This morning when we checked out, my wife asked for a refund given what had happened. Also, a simple scan of the walkway shows that something similar has happened at least three other times, as it has been patched up in a few spots. It's possible that it's happened even more, but that other patches might've been painted over to fit in with the rest of the walkway. It was at this point that the manager said that not only would they not refund, but that actually they would CHARGE us for breaking that part of the walkway. I heard only a bit of this, but that's what my wife reported. The managers English isn't perfect, but it's also not THAT bad, so I have trouble believing she just misspoke. Naturally this infuriated me, and I freely admit that I berated the manager after. At this point she claimed that she had said no such thing. The resolution of this was that she claimed she couldn't contact the owner, and if we wanted to do anything about it we should go to the police. This should go without saying, but this is absolutely inexcusable in the hospitality industry. Do NOT support them with your business. Oh yeah, and each of our rooms were silly with termites. You could actually hear them crawling in the walls, and a few pokes showed that a lot of the wooden boards of the wall are absolutely ruined. I would expect that many of the cottages are set to be abandoned or demolished within the next couple of years. Good riddance.

Clueless staff and horribly rude managerI've been to Koh Chang a couple times and have had wonderful experiences. I brought my family back over Christmas and am so mortified that I brought them here. The staff "lost" a room on my reservation, separated our whole group, and told my parents they had to switch rooms mid week. The food at the restaurant was the worst I've had in Thailand and they did not even bring out all of our meals. The manager rolled his eyes and went back to having beers with his friends when we asked where the rest of our food was. The rooms themselves are clean and functional but the bed is like sleeping on concrete. My parents decided to switch hotels when they were being forced to switch rooms anyways, and the manager yelled and shoved his hand in my face when I asked to refund the money for them for the last few nights. The manager was new and kept saying he didn't know anything and just yelled until we had no choice but to give up. Sadly, this hotel put a very negative spin on our vacation :(
