    Muy buena opción

    El apartamento está muy completo, dispone incluso de lavadora y secadora. El wifi funciona bien. Tiene una bonita piscina con jacuzzi y buenas vistas. Situado cerca de la marina y a 10 minutos andando del pueblo. Como cosas negativas, los horarios de la recepción son limitados, desde las 9 00 hasta las 6 p.m., esto causa que si haces excursiones sea difícil poder contactar con el personal del hotel. La recepción es un poco cutre con una entrada por una especie de garaje.

    Great location, Friendly Staff

    We stayed here for 5 nights and from the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who explained everything in detail. The location was fantastic as we were right across the road from the ferry terminal, a short walk down to the Jubilee Tavern, and a little longer stroll into town (not that long as we did it everyday). The room was a great size (1bdrm), comfortable bed, good size balcony. The bathroom was a good size with a spa bath. A little dated though and could use a refresh/clean of the tiles. The swimming pool was fantastic, and very deep. A great stay and we will definately be back.

    Not What It Seems

    Looks great online, foyer looks 4* but room lets it down. The room was dirty and mouldy. A decent walk from town so if you don't have a car, this isn't the place for you. Parking is horrible. Lovely view of Port Airlie, which was the best part. Gillian the receptionist is bubbly and helpful however her lack of trips/tours knowledge lets her down a bit but I am sure she will learn. Second receptionist is very hard faced, doesn't smile, makes you feel uncomfortable. Not at all approachable . Certainly not value for money. Overpriced for what it is. If you run out of complimentary teabags, coffee, toilet paper etc. you have to purchase more. You also have to purchase towels if you want more or pool towels. Not a place I would recommend sorry to say. There was even some kind of dirty skid marks on the floor outside the lift, which stayed there for at least 3 days, Disgusting.

    Fabulous Stay, Great Location, & Very Clean

    Blue Horizon is excellent. It is very clean, staff are very helpful & friendly, and the pool is the best. We stayed here for 3 weeks and it was perfect! The view of the bay was the icing on the cake. Thank you Sarah and Gillian for your hospitality!

    Disgusting hotel operation. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

    Very unfortunate experience here - I would stay clear of this hotel and their sister site Marina Shores. After a tumultuous 2020, we decided to get our beaks wet and jump into interstate travel. For the most part it went well, but on our last leg of the trip, we were due to check in to Blue Horizon Resort. At the time of booking, we were given an easy way to book and pre-pay through the American Express Travel site. Unfortunately, this is where our positive experience with the hotel ended. Upon entry after a long days travel, we found that the front reception was unattended. Fair enough, no 24 hour check in. A number of keys were available for the taking at the front desk, presumably for late check ins. None of the keys were for us. We tried the after hours number left at reception, however our calls went to voicemail. It was some time before someone picked up. Turns out, our key was left in a safe as opposed to the other keys which were laid on display on the front counter. We finally entered our room to find that the photos as displayed on various travel sites were significantly overrepresented. Upon entry of the room, we found: Bed sheets, used and solid, on the floor Used towels, used and on the floor Details of the previous guest, left in the room on display in the room Rubbish, empty alcohol containers, left within the room Dirty dishes, left in the sink Our bags, which were left with the hotel for storage pre-check in, no where to be seen. Regardless of the state of Queensland at the time during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no acceptable reason why a check out process would not include a final sweep of the room, to check for post visitor damage, and a thorough clean to protect guests AND the community at Airlie Beach. I would question whether the bedding would have been changed at all between guests based on the lack of quality control this business manages. I cannot comprehend how a business can be allowed to run in this manner, even before the COVID-19 pandemic. The onsite manager was called and after about an hour and a half from our arrival to the hotel met with us at the room to apologise and advise us that what we had walked into was unacceptable, embarrassing and she had no idea how this had happened. She had made arrangements for us to stay at alternative accommodation - The Marina Shores, which we later found out was a sister site to the Blue Horizon. This accommodation was on the other side of Airlie Beach and not at all close to the Port of Airlie which was a big factor in the booking of the Blue Horizon. The Marina Shore site was seemingly clean in contrast to the Blue Horizon, however the wifi was non existent in our room (room 130) and 4G signal was also poor. The next morning, after we stated our intention to not return to the Blue Horizon, we were provided reassurance that a refund was possible on a number of occasions. We were provided a number of verbal apologies, however the receivers of our calls to the reception staff sounded disingenuous and sarcastic. Blue Horizon asked us to lodge the request for a refund through the travel agent (in this case American Express). We have since contacted American Express, and were told that the Blue Horizon had rejected all requests for a refund without reason. We lodged evidence to the American Express team, and upon review the American Express team offered to refund us for the full amount while they pursued resolution with the Blue Horizon. They also advised us that the listing for the Blue Horizon will be removed from their booking platform as a result of this incident. In a way, the Blue Horizon business model is a smart one. Invest in marketing, professional photography, engage reputable travel stakeholders such as Expedia and American Express. Next step, lack governance on professionalism and customer service, lack the organisational skills for appropriate and seamless check in and do not bother to offer appropriate cleaning services between guests. Then finally, offer a refund to be processed via the travel agent, and once you have left, deny any and all requests for a refund for the lack of service and accommodation provided. Based on numerous reviews, which in hindsight we should have checked prior to booking, our experience is not an isolated occurrence. If you take one thing to account from this - keep your family and friends safe and save yourself the headache. Move on and book a different hotel.
