Great for kids, but VERY overpricedStayed here with the family (3 kids) from December 18th 2020 until December 24th 2020 for 6 nights in an onsite cabin. Cabin was nice, however: > Water came out of the tap brown (so we purchased bottled water for our stay). > The Air Conditioner struggled to keep the cabin cool during the day. > No servicing of the cabin was provided, despite staying for 6 nights. > Not enough dishwasher powder or toilet paper was provided, so we had to purchase this from the store (only 2 rolls of toilet paper provided for a family of 5 for 6 nights). > Putt-Putt course was full of leaves, which made it virtually unplayable. > Kids wanted to play pool, but no pool cues were available at the kids tables. > Despite calling 3 times to book a cart, they were always booked out. > Not enough cutlery, cooking utensils, serving platters, salad bowls, fry pans etc in the cabin. In the end, if the price had been closer to the $280-$300 mark, this review would be closer to 4 or 4.5 stars, but as they chose to price the resort closer to a 5 star resort cost, then I have to review them as if they are supposed to be one. Side note: We normally holiday at an island resort in QLD each year, but couldn't due to border restrictions and COVID, and this normally costs us $520 per night (with servicing of the cabin included). Island holidays are always more expensive than land based, so for the price of $420 at the Blue Dolphin, we did expect similar facilities and quality. Will not be returning.

Defiantly not what it used to be.Really disappointed with our stay. We had booked a Villa for 9 nights. For what you pay they are in need a of desperate upgrade. The bathroom had mould on the floor shower seals and rust on the shower curtain. Blinds were filthy. The main bed is on wheels and on the smaller side of a double. It rolls every time you get in. Tap pressure in sink was pathetic. Had to phone for a room service after 7 days as it had not been conducted. Although it clearly does state it would be conducted half way though your stay. Park jam packed and from our villa very hard to get car in and out. To top it all off my daughter had her shoes stolen from the jumping pillow(shoes do need to be removed to jump). We know exactly where they were placed and the time frame they went missing. Hopefully security can have some luck looking through the security footage and re locate them. On a plus the park and facilities were kept clean and the park rangers are very friendly and always accommodating. We stayed here years ago, for consecutive years in a row. Such a shame to see see the outdoor movie nights, large open grassed areas between cabins and many small park features all gone and now jammed packed with cabins and vans. Was so excited to return. Cut our losses and checked out early. We would not return again.

The Good The Bad The Ugly for $275pn!!!GOOD: Reception - while welcoming & friendly they did stuff up the Villa allocation. Lovely Views very peaceful at night. BAD: Lot of chipped paint work throughout, no excuse when a coat of paint could easily fix. Vanity & cutlery drawers badly marked again some paint or even liners, very thin towels, lounge way too soft hard to get out of if a tad elderly. Chairs on deck have seen better days. Windows missing handles/locks. Garden out front of Villa more a rubbish tip, as opposed to other gardens in park which were well kept. UGLY: Pictures say a thousand words will let mine do the talking. Management can come back & say all they want (if they even do) but does not escape the fact that the best views/locations do not justify this over priced rate when the accommodation is sub standard & as for a comeback like "you should have come & told us" WHY & to do what a major clean & paint job. I would not be writing such a negative review if a certain standard was met in the 1st place. And these were apparently only refurbed in 2015!! like wt!! Do better people. Moby Dick next door for our next visit to lovely Yamba. Same views, much better rates with a higher standard of accommodation.

Possums in treesI am here right now 0445 ,07.03.2021 ,q3 in a van with possums dropping on van roof. There fighting in trees dropping branches and nuts on our van and ever now and then fall out of tree on van roof. Emenities good, pools good. But a good night sleep no good. Got a dent in van roof from possums. They need to get rid of the possums or cut tree down.
