  Old World Charm

  We found the location to be excellent. It is walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants. The bed was comfortable but the walls are very thin. The neighbour's snoring kept me awake most of the night. A loaf of fresh bread was delivered to our room in the evening for our morning breakfast which was so lovely, but a bread knife would have been useful.

  Haven in a Crisis

  We were fortunate to choose Blakes Manor on spec as our car broke down in Deloraine and we need a play to stay while repairs were made. Tasmania is not in CIVID 19 lockdown at the moment (fingers crossed) we were able to shelter in Quamby Cottage. New owners Peter and Georgia were very caring and accommodating to our needs. The welcome breakfast hamper of bacon, eggs, cereal, porridge, juice AND fresh baked bread, cheese & crackers, port and chocolates - all these offerings were very much appreciated. The view of Quamby Bluff from all windows were picture perfect.

  Delightful 19th century cottage at Deloraine, Tasmania

  Sold on the Tripadvisor photographs of this delightful cottage, we were not disappointed. Looking for a romantic stay we chose Blakes Cottage at Blakes Manor, Deloraine. The luxurious, red velvet curtains draped across the entrance to the bedroom creates a delightful romantic ambience. Tastefully and authentically furnished you truly feel you have stepped back in time. Warmly greeted by owners Georgia and Peter with a freshly baked loaf of bread, we were also indulged with provisions for a bacon and egg breakfast, cereals, orange juice, teas and ground coffee. Oh, and a decanter of fine port, with accompanying chocolates, were waiting on a side table :) The bed was beautiful with fine quality linen - the mattress was a tiny bit firm for me but thats personal taste. We loved it and will return. Highly recommended. Book direct with the owners for a better deal :)

  Blake's Manor- a beautiful experience

  The lovely owners of Blake's Manor were incredibly welcoming and helpful on our arrival. They provided some great suggestions on what to see and where to eat in Deloraine. The lovely heritage accommodation is unique and all the little extras including home baked bread on arrival was very well received. We hope to return again soon.

  A wonderful base to explore Deloraine and surrounds

  Three of us spent a couple of days here recently at the end of our annual motorcycle circumnavigation of wonderful Tasmania. Tired of staying in hotels we though we would try something different and were glad we did. We stayed in the old section of the building, built in 1838 and modernised to provide expected comforts, but not overly done to detract from a wonderful building. Georgia and Peter were fabulous hosts and provided us with freshly baked bread, bacon, eggs, milk, juice and even port and chocolates. Its only a short stroll into town along the river or you can journey further afield in any direction for great roads and scenery. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning. PS the photo is the beautiful old church directly opposite.
