Hot Tub With A View!Wow wow wow! This place was perfect for our romantic getaway! We stayed in Ariel 2 and loved every minute. The owner greeted us, gave us a mini tour of our cottage and rundown of the farm. We loved hearing how the cottage was built and where the materials were sourced. The owners have done an incredible job of building a colonial style cottage with the perks of modern living (huge modern bathroom, large french doors and a cedar hot tub). Its even given us some ideas for our upcoming renovations (the woodbox and bar are the perfect additions). We spent the majority of our time relaxing in the hot tub (of course), looking out over a dam and the mountain range. We felt very posh stepping out to don the white bath robes, supplied. We had fresh eggs, milk, homemade bread, jam and butter, and locally sourced bacon for breakfast. It was all to die for and we ate the lot! Loved loved loved our stay, we definitely recommend!

Family HolidayMy husband and I had two nights in the Pioneer Cottage. This quaint, cosy cottage had a very light and airy kitchen with great breakfast supplies, including home made butter and jams, locally sourced bacon and bread, fresh farm eggs and fresh orange juice. Our living room/bedroom was kept warm with a wood heater and had a very comfy bed. The bathroom was roomy. The view of the farm from our cottage was so relaxing, and so peaceful. Animals friendly. Gardens were great to explore. Hosts, Shane and his wife and little son, are very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. With four other cottages available, plenty of choices. Would recommend a stay at Blackwood Park Cottages to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday. Close to Cradle Mt, andTrowunna Wildlife Park.

Blackwood Park Cottages has it allWe had an amazing experience at Blackwood Cottages. The accommodation was perfect old world charm mixed with modern amenities. The owner Shane, kindly gave us a tour of his working farm and we even got to help out feeding sheep and collecting eggs. Thank you for the perfect 15yr wedding anniversary!!

Such a peaceful place and lovely hostWe were last here back in 2014 under the previous owners and we always say we will come back! Finally we did and we stayed in one of the new Ariel cottages for 2 nights (built in 2018). The cottage was actually larger than it appears in the photos on the website and we loved it. It had plenty of room and even an outdoor hot tub with lovely views with mountains in the distance. The welcome was great even though Yuko was very busy as we arrived. She gave us yummy breakfast provisions and provided us with a convection oven so we would not have to light up the log fire to cook our pie. The location is lovely and the whole area around Mole Creek is very special. It is not cheap but then you are getting high quality ($230 per night). We will definitely come back. The only constructive comment we would make it to consider better privacy screening for the hot tub - a few extra planks of wood would screen it off totally from the driveway and by screening off one end of the other cottage's veranda, you would give even more privacy to both cottages. Just a suggestion and did not impact on our stay at all. Yuko also showed us the alpacas as we checked out and we talked ovens (in fact we ended up buying a convection oven on the way home!).

Incredible place! My partner and I stayed here over the new year period and it was just magical. The cottage was beautiful and immaculately clean. The hosts Shane, Yuko & Otto the dog were wonderful and added some nice touches to our stay. Very comfortable bed too! We loved the experience and will definitely be back.
