  Lovely weekend break

  Stayed third time in 2 years.Great place to stay and see around Darlington and surrounding scenic attractions (Hamsterley Forrest + High and Low Falls), rooms lovely (overlooked back car park) and Staff very helpful and we used our Buyagift vouchers. Shame about Covid restricting things somewhat but did not detract from our overall experience. Will be back again!

  One of our favourite places

  We returned to Blackwell Grange this week after getting married here in August this year. We decided to treat ourselves to another stay in the stunning bridal suite and once again we were not disappointed! If you get a chance to stay in the bridal suite, take it!! The room is beautiful, luxury amenities and the most enormous bath! The hotel is clear and consistent with its approach to Covid guidance and you feel safe at all times. The rooms and communal areas are beautifully styled, no matter where you are in the hotel it just looks amazing!! The food is second to none, all of the meals here are excellent, the chefs do a fantastic job and we have eaten here a few times now! Breakfast is delicious and fresh with plenty of options. The staff in the hotel will do anything to help, they are all friendly and approachable. We love Blackwell Grange and we definitely will be back again!

  Lovely hotel And lovely staff

  Over the past two years we have visited judges hotel Yarm, the Ritz London, Rockliffe hotel Croft on spa. And none of these hotels Come a close 2nd to the Blackwell Grange Darlington. My wife daughter and sister had a two night Break and everything about the Blackwell Grange was just perfect. Apart from our two breakfasts which were great but came with burnt toast Photo enclosed I wouldve give you five stars but I think your kitchen stuff sometimes dont care about what they give to their guests it wasnt just our table it was everyones table. But it will not stop us coming back to you and staying with you again.

  Absolutely brilliant

  Stayed at the Blackwell many times over the years. We were given a gift voucher for last years Xmas present. Due to pandemic didn't get a chance to use it till now. What a lovely hotel this is. Even due to restrictions we had a fabulous stay. Newly refurbished room was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and served to our table. Elaine our gorgeous waitress is more like a friend now. Can't wait to return in the new year. Thank u to all of your reception, cleaning and restaurant staff. They do the Blackwell grange proud

  Celebration Package stay

  Trying to arrange something special for my husband's 60th birthday amidst Covid 19 is not an easy task. Having passed by sign for Blackwell Grange on various outings I decided to check their web page. Eureka! - a Celebration package advertised. Consisting of: One night bed and breakfast stay. Prosecco and chocolates in room Afternoon tea 3 course dinner Use of pool and gym. Our executive room was spacious. Bath with shower over. Ample storage. Kettle,tea,coffee and biscuits provided Large screen tv. Afternoon tea consisted of a trio of mini scones (cheese/fruit and plain) a selection of mini cakes - fruit/chocolate/red velvet and a macaroon. and a selection of finger sandwiches- egg/tuna/ham. We also paid for a couple of glasses of champagne.r 3 course dinner From a limited menu ( due to Coronovirus restrictions) Husband had Ham hock Terrine, I had a vegetable soup starter Both had slow cooked beef and veg ( no shortage of melt in the mouth beef on our plates!) To finish husband had Oreo cheesecake, whilst I just managed a trio of lemon/vanilla and Baileys ice cream. Staff we found very friendly, chatty and helpful. The Hotel is lovely, the crystal chandelier breathtaking. Nice grounds with outside seating area for warmer days. Ample parking. Our celebration package was excellent value for money. My husband was absolutely delighted with his birthday treat! Would we stay again - in a heartbeat! Sorry second lockdown has forced temporary closure.
