  With a sense of old fashioned glamour

  This place is simply gorgeous and it is a privilege to have this to be a part of the hotels used while on tour. Arriving late is never an issue and driving up through the large gate towards the castle you cannot help but think you entered some old fashioned movie. It is such a glam feeling and entering through the large front door you come into another era altogether. The stuffed bear is always there to greet you and you walt up the stairs to the reception where you always feel welcome. The lobby/reception area brings a sense of old-time glam and is finished with heavy wooden chairs and tables as well as sofas and armchairs where one can sip on a glass of bubbly after a long day. A recommendation is to preorder a meat tray with different sausages, cheese etc and just relax and soak up the incredible ambiance. The rooms are very comfortable and bathrooms are very clean and fresh. As it is an old castle hotel there are some things you just have to live with. Such as the old time keys (rather charming) and old wooden doors to the rooms that do make rather a lot of nice when closing. This might be a disturbance if you go to bed and other guests still roam the halls of the castle. The walls are thin so it is rather easy to hear things happening in the hallways or out on the large landing where there is a large pool table placed. With this being said it is rather easy to live with as it is not a noisy place in general. The beds are comfortable and it is a treat that the rooms are individually decorated so it is always fun to see wich one you will end up in. The bathrooms are also differently decorated ut always fresh and clean. The staff is always friendly and makes your stay that little extra comfortable and comes out to tell when it is "last-call" from the bar that usually closes around 11 PM but it is always a flexible choice if you pre-order something. Would definably recommend staying here if what you look for is service and quality when it comes to lodging and staff. Would not mind staying there for a couple of nights in a row to get the real castle experience.

  Amazing place to stay

  We didnt know what to expect when we booked it but as soon as we turned into the drive and went through the gate we were impressed. The rooms were lovely, the staff we very friendly and the food at dinner was delicious. The decor was lovely. One night stay wasnt enough for us, wanted to stay here much longer.

  A nice stay in a castle with nice staff and many opportunities for recreation

  This castle with nice garden is a great break after a long working week, or a great stop for 1-2 nights in an area in Sweden with a lots of historical sightseeing. There are many opportunities to eat locally produced food in the area. The architecture is charming and you may use the sauna, the gym. boule courts, shuffle board etc for free during your stay. A nice restaurant with a great menu.

  Great for couples

  Very nice castle with cosy and quiet areas, fantastic staff and a really great restaurant with excellent food and wine. We enjoyed a nice drink in the lovely furniture in front of the fireplace and the excellent whysky selection made the choice difficult
