  DO NOT BOOK THROUGH Birmingham Serviced Apartments - Room 904

  After arriving at 9pm at night and walking straight to the apartment from New Street Train station (8 min) walk. I find out keys are 20mins away even though there is a fully manned reception desk in the actual property. After the staff member refused to meet me to drop keys off, I paid for a return taxi as I wouldn't recommend anyone walking at night to get them (40mins return trip) let alone a woman. I had to leave £100 key deposit and then bring keys back to where I picked them up. No drop off facility in apartment block. Open door (key get stuck) to find not serviced and marks over walls. Its is not looked after. The security guard advised they have numerous complaints specifically to apartment 904. I'm in the process of a refund (I've had to contact them) initally asked to come into their office??? Not the smartest of staff. Why would I book an apartment if I could walk back into their office. Pay the extra and stay in a hotel, not worth the hassle of nearly 3 hours to sort out and then book a hotel.

  Great location, views, seriously let down by poor service, long walk for keys, very dirty apartment

  We didn't realise when booking that this was a sub let, and managed by an agent. The room was very dirty (see photos)hairs in the bed and on the floor. Condoms in the tv drawer, no cutlery, no duvet cover, lights not working. The agents service was poor, as we had to wait for the keys, they gave use one tea bag, one coffee, one milk and one small shower gel. Note you have a 20 minute walk to collect keys, far from ideal. The agent said that they don't take the breakage deposit from your account, but it looks as if they have. Room is adequate for two people only.

  AVOID!!

  DO NOT BOOK with this people. Really bad costumer experience, unorganized and unprofessional people, no pans in the room, no warm water at night, very dirty, the pictures have photoshop, can easily find better things for cheaper price.

  A smelly dump

  We stayed on the 9th floor, the beds were left with dirty sheets from previous guests. The kids were staying on a sofa bed and the sheets were just left in a heap Im the wardrobe. The general level of cleanliness was extremely low with filth in the kitchen and bathroom. The fact you have to collect and return the keys to an office about 15 mins away is also a major pain. The location is good but apart from that this place is a hovel, had it not been for the fact the velo was on meaning everywhere was booked I would have walked out. You have been warned.

  It's an old terrace house turned into apartments with all modern amenities and facilities in a residential area. It's a secured building. Bit on the smaller side, though kitchen and laundry facilities are good. But as it's in a suburban area to buy groceries you have to walk 10 - 15 minutes and drag the goodies back to the apartment. We faced the biggest problem carrying our suitcases up and down the narrow and steep staircase. The management should mention on the website that this property is not suitable for elderly or guests with walking difficulties. Didn't like their unnecessary strict check in (3pm) and check out (10am) policy. We were catching a train to London at 12.14pm, so I requested the management to let us check out around 10.30 - 10.45am, but we were denied, unless we pay £20 extra!!! It's not a very big property that the cleaners can't wait to clean the vacated flat for an hour or so. We have stayed lot more bigger hotels and apartments around the world, never faced this behaviour before.
