  I feel very disappointed in the comment made from the security guard of this Travelodge as me and my work m8 walked back in together through the main doors listening to (and I quote) "some people need sex" which both receptionists laughed at. Which is totally unacceptable from people who are meant to make you feel welcome. I only checked in to this Travelodge 6 hours ago and as I work for a company that has a contract with them and through that I have been in most,,this is by far the worst welcome. Never felt like this before in any Travelodge I"ve been in.

  The reception staff were extremely helpful in these trying times. Lynsey was so helpful helping me with my on line checking in , shes is a credit to travel lodge hotels . The rooms are clean fresh towels when ever you need the hotel is in an ideal location right next to Birmingham new Street main line overground station

  Fantastic customer service

  On check in I was welcomed by a bubbly receptionist Ilushka smiling and very informative about COVID 19 new procedures, saying that if I need anything , reception is happy to help and 24 hours available. Tea bags , coffee was offered , towels .. The room was cold however I called reception to ask for extra blankets, ilushka answered and offered to bring it upstairs to the room which it made my stay cosy and comfortable. The hotel was clean and quit . I had a good stay overall and will be back . Thank you Travelodge and to all staff who respond to the all inquiries.

  stayed here on Thursday, and now back over the weekend. The hotel is in an ideal location in the heart of the city. Excellent value for money. Just paid £71 for 3 nights online. Cannot fault the staff, or the actual room. Nothing special, but clean and well maintained with a piping hot shower. Overall 10/10

  Dirty, Unhelpful Staff, Disappointing Breakfast, Avoid!

  We stayed here for work and were really disappointed, normally with travelodge you go because its a bargain and decent enough rooms, but this hotel was a really poor example of a normally trustworthy chain. The first room we were given had hair all over the shower wall, picture included, and there was still food in the bed, which meant obviously the sheets had not been changed. We were moved to another room and that bed had lipstick all over the bed but we honestly couldn't be bothered to move again so just made do. The "breakfast" was £5 for a pathetic box including cereal and juice. I was also promised half price parking but ended up being charged full, even though i had given my number plate to reception, and double checked in the morning. I stay in a lot of hotels for work, but this trip has made me lose all faith in travelodge as a brand. Staff made us feel like a nuisance, as if we were meant to put up with a dirty room especially in a pandemic! I was offered a voucher as compensation but would rather have had my money back as i don't want to risk another stay. There are much nicer hotels in the area, do yourself a favour!
