  Home away from home

  My husband and I planned a last minute leaf- peeping trip North and stayed at Birchwood Inn. After a long day of hiking and photography we pulled in to the car park and were welcomed by Toms friendly smile. It was an awesome experience from that moment on; comfortable bedroom, all Covid precautions taken, delicious breakfast in a socially distanced setting. Truly felt like home (away from home).

  Fabulous Inn!

  Tom and Debbie were wonderful hosts at the Birchwood Inn. It is a historic country Inn located in Lenox. I wish to give the Inn more than 5 stars. Tom and Debbie were friendly, gracious and very welcoming. The country breakfasts were amazing, delicious as well as very creative. Debbie is a wonderful baker and offered us muffins as well as cookies daily. My husband and I spent 4 days at this charming peaceful Birchwood Inn. Because of COVID, we preferred to stay in the cottage. It was very private. During the day, we took several walks and hikes. We went to Mt Greylock and The Clark Museum. This was the perfect getaway and hope to return in the future.

  Relaxing and wonderful Covid Escape

  We had a wonderful stay at the Birchwood Inn over Columbus Day weekend. We are very nervous about Covid, and had not been out to any hotels, inns, or even outside restaurants until this weekend. What made us choose the Birchwood Inn is that we chose a room in the Carriage House, so we could have our own private entry. We also could bring our dog, which was very important to us! We expected a dog friendly room to not be as nice as it was! But, our room was beautiful! Very relaxing and quiet. We also felt very safe. We were given hand sanitizer, masks if needed, and all the separation we felt comfortable with. At breakfast, we were able to pick a time, so in the end, we were alone in the dining room, sitting at our own special table each morning. And afternoon snacks were not only delicious, but individually wrapped (and available into the evening :) ). Back to the breakfast-oh my goodness. Literally the best breakfast food I have ever eaten. And believe me, I have eaten my fair share of brunches! They were very accommodating of any dietary needs. The innkeepers are simply the sweetest. One other bonus we did not expect is The Birchwood Inn is a quick walk to town. This was awesome! Book a stay-you will not be disappointed!

  Wonderful, safe weekend at this beautiful inn!!

  What a wonderful weekend at the Birchwood Inn!! Tom & Debbie greeted us and went through all of the 'safety' measures to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. They offered us everything we could possible want for a wonderful weekend. I stayed at the Birchwood Inn over 30 years ago. Now it continues to have the same beautiful charm, and has been updated in many ways. Although the inn was fully booked, it was quiet and there was plenty of space for everyone. We ate (takeout) one night and had the small dining room to ourselves. Tom & Debbie have an open 'pantry' with dishes, glasses, snacks, coffee, tea & everything we could need. The 'Dewey' room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. It was a very large room with every amenity. We ate breakfast each morning in our room, in order to distance from others. Breakfast was so delicious and every detail was thought of! The location of the inn is outside of busy Lenox, but just up the road. A perfect location. We hiked in Kennedy Park (more of a walk than a hike) and enjoyed everything that Lenox had to offer. We cannot wait to visit the Birchwood again! What a gem!

  Wedding

  My husband and I loved our wedding at the Birchwood Inn. Everything was just perfect. Tom was so helpful and accommodating and we felt right at home. Debbies meals, snacks and our wedding cake were delicious. The Inn is beautiful - our room included a fireplace and a claw foot tub and we were greeted by a lovely floral arrangement, rose petals on the bed and champagne. Our guests enjoyed the stay as well. We had the best time and the Inn is great!
