Dangerous! Security lapse is unacceptableThis hotel was ok, except for a broken fire door directly across from our room, that anyone could enter from the outside. The lock was totally broken. It was about 20 feet from an secure entry door that was only accessible by a room key card, but what does that matter when practically right next to the secure door is a door that is totally unsecured and that anyone can enter at any time? I couldn't see any security cameras in the hallway by the broken fire door. I was torn whether to ask for a refund and to find another hotel, but I didn't. Now that I think about it more, I regret that I didn't find a more secure hotel. Anyone could have entered that hallway and waited there to rob or assault unsuspecting guests and you wouldn't have known. That broken lock should have been the highest priority of any repairs to the hotel, and should have been repaired immediately, but when we got up the next day to leave it was still broken. I attempted to contact the management through the "contact us" portion of their website, but the message was returned as undeliverable.

Leaves a lot to be desiredNot exactly a great place to stay. The other clientele looked really shady, but the bar next door was probably a reason why. The price was right, but you get what you pay for. The room was surprisingly clean, but be aware, there are no elevators so you have to carry luggage up to the second story. I wouldn't eat the "free" breakfast - it just didn't appeal to me, so I can't comment on that. Not much in the way of security. There was a fire door just downstairs from our room, but it did not lock and anyone from the bar (or the gas station on the other side of the hotel) could walk in. When I first saw the place, I thought the rooms could have been rented out on an "hourly" basis. The hotel is way out in the middle of nowhere, and the area had a lot to be desired. There is not much in the area - except maybe Bonanzaville - which is a couple miles down the street.

Very friendly, helpful staffThe best thing about this motel was the staff. Everyone was great! Our room was adequate, but needed new carpet as it was torn and looked less than clean. The bathroom is so small we needed to step into the shower to close the door. The breakfast was adequate, but get there early. I came down about a half hour before it was going to close and all the hot food was gone and they said it's first come first serve. Will we stay there again... probably not, unless everything else in town is full, which is why we ended up there this time.

FineIt was a perfectly fine stay. The room was clean, but dated and in deep need of some updating. There was light staining on the walls and a torn cushion in the chair. But the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. I wouldnt advise against this hotel, but its not exactly luxury or super nice. Just adequate.

Dingy bedding...We stayed at this hotel on a Wednesday night, traveled a bit, then stayed again on that Saturday night. The hotel is in a great location and O'Kelleys, the attached bar/lounge, was awesome! The reason for only 3 stars was the bedding. Dingy sheets that just didn't feel fresh and didn't feel like they were changed for a new guest. That was Wednesday. When we came back through town on Saturday...same dingy bedding. We stayed in five different hotels during our trip and one other had the same dingy, dingy bedding. Not everything can be blamed on COVID 19!
