  Impresentable.

  El hotel Bijou tiene unas vistas bonitas al Cervino, pero como él hay muchos en Zermatt. Las fotos de su página no reflejan la realidad. No es que los muebles sean antiguos, lo que tendría su encanto, si no que están viejos y descuidados, las tapicerías sucias y lo único salvable del hotel es que al menos las sábanas y toallas estaban limpias. La subida desde la estación de tren es terrible, si te van a buscar te cobran 20 chf por trayecto, si lo haces a pie al menos tienes 30 minutos de subida en su última parte de mucha pendiente, así que si a eso le añadimos que uno va cargado con maletas, es para pensarselo dos veces. Pero pasando por alto todos estos inconvenientes, lo peor sin duda es el desayuno. La galería de cristal que se ve en las fotos está descuidada al máximo, el buffet es escasisimo, de lo peor que vimos en Suiza y lo más terrible, lleno de moscas en torno a los alimentos. No dábamos crédito. No aconsejo este hotel por nada del mundo, salvo que se sea masoquista, porque encima no es nada barato.

  Peor imposible

  Reserva hecha a través de Tripadvisor y Hoteles.com. Habitación con vistas a la montaña y son al patio interior, y el servicio lamentable. Es un timo de hotel y en los datos de ubicación no pone que está a más de un km de distancia del centro. La habitación es la 103, para prevenir a posibles incautos. Además está situada al lado del bar del hotel, motivo por el que es imposible dormir sin ruidos ni voces.

  Off-Season Disaster

  This hotel did not live up to expectations. My boyfriend and I came to Zermatt on holiday, looking to enjoy a cozy stay with views of the Matterhorn. I suppose it was our fault for visiting during the off-season (we arrived in early May), but the entire experience was awful. First of all, the hotel is a far walk from the center of town -- about 25 minutes on a steep uphill, which is made worse with luggage. When we arrived, there was nobody at reception to check us in. It was self check-in, and the lobby was completely deserted. We arrived to a tiny room that reeked of cigarettes, with no view of the Matterhorn (instead, we had a view of the property next door), and amenities that can best be compared to a Motel 6. Luckily, when we called the number provided, we got moved into a better, smoke-free room. However, this room had slanted ceilings that seemed charming, but ended up being wildly inconvenient. We had to shower in a squatting position so as to avoid hitting our heads (I'm 5'7'' and it was even a problem for me). Again, just a less-than-spectacular view of the property next door, with no Matterhorn view and no balcony. This room didn't even have a TV. The 15CHF breakfast was cereal and toast. The worst part, however, was check out. At check out, the receptionist (this time there was one, this was the first time we'd seen someone at reception all weekend) tried to charge me again for the stay, and I had to show her my bank statement proving I'd already paid (she spoke no English -- I know we were in Switzerland and thus it was unreasonable to expect English to be spoken everywhere, but you would think a hotel receptionist would know at least a little English to get by). Then, we asked her to call us a cab so we could catch our train. She told us it would arrive in 10 minutes, which was fine -- we gave ourselves 40 minutes to get to the train station. Well, 10 minutes passed, and then 15. We checked in with her, and she assured us it was coming. Another 10 minutes passed. She again told us it was on its way. At this point, we had to get going. We started our walk into town, with all our luggage. The owner of the hotel was arriving at the hotel in a golf cart for breakfast, so we asked him if he could give us a ride to the train station. He told us the golf cart was almost out of gas, and offered no assistance or solutions. Just shrugged and said sorry. After another few minutes waiting for the taxi, my boyfriend walked into the hotel and begged him to drive us in the golf cart. His urgent tone must have worked, because the golf cart miraculously had enough gas to drive us into town suddenly? Then, just as we were taking off, the taxi arrived. The owner of the hotel shoved our bags into the taxi and sent us off without an apology or a smile. He didn't pay for the taxi... nothing. We nearly missed our train. It was a disastrous experience and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Way overpriced. Pay the extra few dollars to stay somewhere nicer.

  Nice little family hotel, on the quiet outskirts of town

  We stayed here for a night when hiking around the Zermatt area and had a pleasant stay. I booked the slightly more expensive (+~20chf) Matterhorn view room and was not disappointed. We had a huge balcony that extended around 2 sides of the large room, and gave us a pretty undisturbed view (1 building in the near foreground) due to the hotels location on the outskirts of town. Staff were really friendly and hospitable. N.B. check-in was self-service when the staff were away: i.e. names of arrivals that day, and take your key to your room. Be aware that the hotel's location means a fair walk (~15mins) from the station, though you can ride one of Zermatt's expensive electric taxis. Overall - great base to go hiking and explore the area. You're a 2-3 minwalk from the cable car station up to Furi (and from there up to the Matterhorn + elsewhere)

  Hidden Treasure

  My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights while backpacking through Europe. We booked a double bed room last minute at an amazing price. Our trains came in very late, but the room was waiting for us when we arrived without issue. The concierge services were excellent and the staff was very personable! She helped us plan our hiking route to the smallest detail and it turned into a perfect experience. If you're looking for basic amenities, a clean building, a quiet room, and a breathtaking view of Matterhorn, do not hesitate to book here. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to a friend. Ausgezeichnet!
