Excellent and my gf accepted my proposal!I've made advance bookings of flowers with this hotel and a candle lit dinner in my hotel room.. It was a surprise to my gf and she accepted my proposal! As long you speak Mandarin, I'm sure you would be able to communicate with them well enough. They always bring a smile with them whenever they saw you. The room was great with full glass, you could see anything below, but it's not tinted, thus people could see you as well.. The location is abit of hassle as you need a cab to most of the (shopping) places you are going.. But, the main thing is, you would never be lack of food if you need them.. Just behind this hotel, there's a entire stretch of street that sells food and a small local shopping mall.. I just miss the books that I could see there.. Highly recommended if you speak chinese because alot of stuff could be arrange beforehand. Lastly, the person who handle my reservation even send me out personally on my last day, where on earth would you get this kind of service? =)

Stinky hotel with great staffThis hotel was just OK I'd say. The staff was really friendly and helpful, but the room was quite stinky. The whole hotel smelled like smoke. Most of the time when we went to and from our room, there would be a couple of other rooms with their doors wide open with a bunch of asian guys walking around in their underwear while they smoked their lungs off. The view from our room was towards the back of the hotel and it looked like a slum. However, the front of the hotel was very nice. There was a small beautiful park in between the hotel and the busy road that ran along Lover's Lane road. There were a couple of nice parks nearby, including the park that had the boat shaped seafood restaurant adjacent to it. The fisher girl statue was about a half hour walk away. Besides going for nice walks, there really isn't much around there, especially places to eat. Next door there was a decent dim sum place, and just north of the hotel we found some potential places to eat that we never ended up trying. The breakfast place at the hotel was disappointing, but once again, the staff was great there. We had to take long bus trips to see all of the touristy areas of Zhuhai. The room was a decent size and decent price and the internet connection was hard-wired and fast, but the room was just plain stinky. If you are a smoker, give this place a chance.

Fair, well located and friendlyThe hotel is located at a very short (4-5 minute either way) walk from both the sea and the main avenue along which most clusters making up Zhuhai lie. While a bit ageing here and there (e.g. bathrooms and some of the common areas), the hotel is generally well kept, functional and clean. Rooms are clean and quite spacious, with those facing the sea larger, a bit more expensive and also (especially those on lower floors) a bit noisier due to the popular club next to the hotel (music cannot be heard, but youngsters coming and going can be noisy at times). Staff do not speak English (well, many people in Zhuhai do not, while many others do), but during our stay there they were friendly and we could communicate via their translating application. Breakfast was plentiful and quite diverse, with most dishes warm and filling (for those that like Chinese cuisine, which we did greatly, so that is subjective, of course). There is a shop across the street and the restaurant-plied Oxford Street at a 3-4 minute walk. Room prices were hard to beat when we visited. Overall, I would rank it as a decent 3* property.

Stopover cityI use to live in this district and It's a good place near the ocean. The hotel is affordable with lots of ammenities and shopping facilities nearby including the huge computer city spanned out over two blocks and includes small and large shopping complexes nested amongst schools, parks and hospitals. Public transport is easily accessible and cheap, catch the air conditioned busses for a little extra. The No.2 bus gets you downtown passed a couple of large shopping centres you can easily get off and walk underground to the other side. The main bus interstate bus station is a short ride away and taxi fares are affordable even at today's prices. So the hotel is just a place to sleep and its okay. I did take some pictures which I can find and update here. It's your normal run of the mill hotel, nothing too expensive or too cheap but in-between, great for short stays. We paid around two and a half bills per night which is okay for China. Other 5 star hotels downtown are expensive from seven and a half to a grand Chinese money. Do yourself a favour, get out and about, the hotel is just for sleeping. You can find more cheap hotels downtown but they are average condition although they are near all the late night action.it is a Chinese speaking city of Mandarin and Cantonese, but there are English schools nearby. Near the ocean, and usually semi-quiet. Night time is quieter than downtown for a good sleep. 15-20 mins from the Macau border or 10mins from port. Restaurants nearby, even downstairs and next door or Macca's 24/75 8min walk at Jusco's Japanese department/grocery stores which has 5 levels, bar at the back, games room at the back, fish market end of street as the fisherman's wharf is nearby.
