  Stay clear of room 6

  As a regular traveller to Shepparton I have stayed at a number of Hotels, Motels and even some B&Bs. Now whilst the gentleman at reception was polite and friendly it was the room that I took exception to. After checking in I went on to spend the day as I had planned and had not noticed anything in the room that would cause alarm at that stage as I had dropped off my bags and left. When I came back to the room that night and was ready to sleep an overpowering smell of urine was through the room and bed. Totally exhausted I wasnt up to changing rooms and it was getting quite late anyway. So I put up with the smell and decided to raise it with management in the morning. The next morning after showering thoroughly given I had been sleeping on top of a bed that was most likely soaked in someone elses urine I couldnt get out of there quick enough. When I informed the manager of the odour he politely said thats no good I shall have to inform the cleaners or words to that effect. That was the extent of it. There are additional room cleaning charges for people who do this kind of thing for a reason. Obviously the cleaners are not doing their job properly and being observant or the motel simply does not care. Either way the room now needs a thorough and detailed clean and the bedding needs replacing. I certainly will not be staying here ever again.

  Stayed in a family room with my dauughter and 2 grandchildren.The good points are bedding was clean beds comfy (grandma not so good in a single bed on casters-Lol) and very quiet inside no traffic noise at all could be heard.kids loved the little pool,however note the steps in are pretty slippery.We noted that the shampoo conditioner ect in bathroom were Australian products,some small downsides made me give a 3 instead of a 4 I probably would have rated were there was a slight funky smell in the room and no mini bar-:(

  A good motel for a short stay

  I shared a twin bed room with my adult son The room was very clean and provided all of the facilities that you expect from a country motel. It is well situated, not far from the centre of Shepparton. There is a swimming pool. The staff were couteous.

  clean and comfortable

  The room was very clean and comfortable. The gentleman at front desk was very friendly the restaurant was amazing food was beautiful staff was amazing! the only downfall was the noise. you could hear the highway but once I fell asleep ai was good although my husband woke to a tv going nearby at all hours and could hear very clearly

  Spacious and comfortable

  Reception on arrival was a bit cool - wasn't in the mood for conversation, but the room itself is very spacious, leather lounge was comfortable as was the bed. Location was good - close to the main street/highway - but quiet. Amenities were standard for this motel type but stains and spills on the kettle and a black bit of something in the kettle indicated to me that cleaning wasn't as thorough as it should be. The room looked a bit tired - paintwork around doors needs refreshing, leather lounge was cracked and old - altogether needing some refurbishment. Access to/from the street was roomy, parking outside your room is ample also. A few restaurants nearby - even walking distance.
