    Great location

    The hotel is as expected for the price- it is in a great location. Staff were acceptable with the exception of Dave, the night security guy. What a star, so helpful, friendly a credit to you. The 11am checkout is a bonus- Beverley is a great place to visit.

    Disappointing

    Comfortable bed, good breakfast, helpful staff. Shower did not work properly (very poor water pressure) and coming away from wall. Generally decor throughout is very tired and in desperate need of some updating and tlc. Not good value for money.

    Good location, parking, sleeping, breakfast, staircase...all good!

    The C18th staircase is to die for! Location is great with wonderful Beverley on the doorstep. Parking was easy and convenient for my room, which was a good size, comfortable and quiet. Pleasant atmosphere and staff, good breakfast, efficient service. It's not as smart and trendy as that other Beverley hotel, but it's a lot cheaper and for me does the job very well. I'll stay again.

    Defence school visit

    Stayed here for 6 nights. Generally good hotel. With great staff. Very good, central location. The breakfast is great. I have seen some reports on here and think that some people will moan at anything. I thought the stat was very good. I will be back.

    BEST WESTERN LAIRGATE Worst Hotel

    I had booked this hotel for 12 days and moved out after 5 days. I had no power in my room for two out of the five days and the WiFi was non exisistant. I complained about the power and the owners did not seem interested and gave me no updates or not even offered me another room. I was paying £81 per night. The room was dirty as the only cleaning that took place was to empty my bin. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Even with the troubles I had I was not even offered any discount on my 5 day stay.
