  I'm a guest. Get me out of here!!!

  Very little sleep due to being unable to close the windows. This resulted in all sounds from outside, including every, bang shout, chiming cathedral bells, etc being amplified into the room. As we were situated directly above the entrance, further noises were made by deliveries to the neighbouring establishments from a very early hour. Also, despite being the end of July it was a cool night and there was a cold draught from the open windows. No hot water to the room. Due to the room being so small, and despite having only a basic double bed, there was only room for a bedside table on one side. Mouldy sealant around the bath. No alternative arrangements offered when you were unable to rectify the hot water situation. Conveniently, no management available to address our concerns until after we had checked out. I appreciate that in the service industry things can and will go wrong. However, it is how promptly, empathetically and efficiently these issues are dealt with which determines the quality of customer service received. To be told: there was nothing more could be done after attempting, unsuccessfully, to fix the water, stating there was a pole in the office to close the windows, being advised that nobody would be available for approximately four hours to deal with our concerns is neither prompt, empathetic or efficient.

  DO NOT STAY IN SINGLE ROOM

  Stayed in single room. Bed was on wheels so if you lean against wall the bed you end up on the floor. Fire alarm went off. Bed had no headboard so pillows fall and bed moves. ended up sleeping on the floor

  Thats Amazing

  My partner and I booked a last minute night away here and could not have been more impressed with the hotel - mainly the staff (Ella!) who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Upon arrival we got a room upgrade, and had a lovely conversation about the local area and the best place to go for drinks. On request, we had an ironing board and iron brought to our room (even though we offered to take it up ourselves). We wouldnt hesitate to come back again... I really hope Ella gets recognised for doing such a great job!!

  Lockdown break

  2nd choice to our usual hotel in sheffield but would definitely use again. All covid rules followed, rooms nice enough. Occasional noise but you are in the heart of the city. Value for money. When we get back to normal, great base on a budget.

  Nice place to stay

  This is my second time in Sheffield with my new job and not used to staying in hotels apart from holidays of course. But this hotel was was 100% better than the last one I stayed in. You have a returning customer with me see you next month. I would recommend
