  Best hotel We have stayed at!!

  Had a really bad experience with another hotel and Jimmy at reception was able to sort us out with a room and it was brilliant! Clean and fresh and all staff were so happy and polite. Best hotel we have ever had the privelege of staying at! Thanks again Jimmy you're awesome!

  great place

  We love staying at the Apollo International Best Western in Newcastle. This motel is our preferred choice when we stay in Newcastle. The beds are always comfortable, staff are lovely and accommodating. The restaurant has lovely food, reasonably priced and the room service staff are always kind and bubbly.

  Don't Book Here

  Unfortunately this hotel was completely unhelpful, disrespectful and we didn't even end up staying there! We were meant to stay for a night but at the last minute my daughter got very sick (the night before our stay) and due to COVID restrictions I called the hotel to inform them we wouldn't be able to stay. I was told that as we booked through the third party Booking.com we would have to contact them but on Monday as it was a Saturday. I asked specifically if I should cancel the room and was told because I booked it through a third party site I had to speak woth thenm and the hotel couldn't make any changes to the booking. So I left it as I was unsure and didn't want to cancel and be told we couldn't get a refund. So I contacted Booking.com. Long story short I was told I would not get a refund because I didn't cancel the room and it could have been resold. Mind you I called to cancel on the morning of our stay so they must be one popular place. Typical bureaucracy, blaming the other for not giving a refund. Booking.com saying the hotel had to approve and the hotel saying Booking.com had to approve. Just a joke. Even booking free cancellation options is pointless because if something happens within 48hrs prior to your booking, you will lose your money. I guarantee that if I had cancelled the booking I would be told that I cancelled so I can't get a refund.

  Dining Room Service was superb

  I was made to feel most welcome. Although the restaurant was very busy and never once was made to wait. I received more attention than I ever anticipated. I will certainly be back and will spread the word with all my friends. It was an experience that I will always remember.

  Top Notch

  Best motel in Newcastle. Rooms are comfortable, room service food is delicious and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The Apollo is only a short drive to either Merewether Beach or Lake Macquarie, which ever place takes your fancy. Close to major shopping centre, Charlestown Square. Would definitely stay here again
