  90th Birthday Party for my Grandmother

  The hotel was very clean. Lots to choose from for breakfast. The staff VERY accommodating. Beds very comfortable with plenty of pillows, and the rooms quiet with good air conditioning. Very great place to stay in Ukiah.

  Go Elsewhere, You've Been Warned

  Extremely dissatisfied with this stay. Room's dead bolt was broken, toilet seat was cracked, room was not vacuumed, smelled like cigarettes, breakfast was a joke, and each day I got woken up at 10am, even thought I put up the do not disturb sign. Mind you I worked graveyards and went to sleep at 8am, so this was extremely annoying. Front desk personnel Norma is tried to force me to check out a day early because they didnt know when my checkout day was. Pool and hot tub were closed by the health department, and parking is terrible. This is the only best western I have ever been to that I was disappointed with.

  I wanted to give this place more stars!

  I really wanted to give this place more stars, it checks off many of my hotel stay requirement: Pet friendly (pet fee was $20 per dog per night) Have 2 tesla chargers and level 2 on site right next to the front entrance Complimentary decent breakfast Complimentary cookie, coffee/tea, fruit infused water throughout the day! some of the cons I notice after my 2 nights stay: it seems all the rooms are pet friendly, in other words they don't designate certain rooms in the hotel to be the only pet friendly rooms. I knew this because there were dogs in many rooms downstairs and upstairs as well It wouldn't be a problem if the rooms are really vacuum and cleaned out. I stayed in 2 rooms and both rooms gave me really bad allergic reaction. Not all rooms are equal. I arrived early and I was checked into room 117. Early check in was a big bonus and I was really happy about it. But 117 is definitely not one of their better rooms. The room gave off a weird smell that I can't locate the source. The security lock is missing and you can clearly see the nail holes. The faucet was lose. The bathroom fan was really loud. And then after a few hours, the bathroom smelled like heavy weed. I went to the front desk and inquired about the ventilation system in the bathroom (if it was shared with other rooms). The front desk wouldn't know and I don't blame her. I was relocated to room 104, which I was really happy about that too. Room 104 faces the backside of the front entrance, it seems to be more quiet since it has less traffic. 104 the security lock was intacted, the room seems to be less run down than 117. But during the 2 nights I had really bad breathing, some dust allergic reaction I believe. After the first night, I notice a lot of people checked out and many of the room doors were wide open. There were quite a few rooms with weed smell. At this point I was wondering if the hotel was allowing it? One of the reason I stayed here was because of the tesla charger, which is a plus plus plus for EV owner. There are 2 tesla chargers and 1 level 2 charger located right next to the entrance. One night I notice a truck just parked right next to me, which is the other charger is located at. I saw another EV owner checked in, but too bad she couldn't charge because the truck was in an EV spot. The next day I notice the truck is gone but parked elsewhere, and there were lights and other handyman stuff. I suspect the person could be working at this hotel? Anyway, Ukiah is not EV friendly, most people drive a truck in this area anyway. Pet friendly, which is kind of a plus since not that many motels allow dogs in Ukiah. However, I wonder what they would do with the extra pet fee. It seems the house keeping would have cleaned the room the same way as regular room guests. And there aren't even any poop bags and trash can like many other pet friendly hotels

  Don't stay here

  It's important to note that we stayed here during the pandemic but that was not an excuse for the poor experience that we had. We had just stayed at a wonderful Best Western in Eureka so when we chose this one on our trip back, I was hoping for another wonderful experience which was not the case. The girl at the desk was cranky so we should have turned around and left but we didn't. The walls are paper thin and although it was half empty, we were placed right next to another occupied room. We could hear their toilet flushing all night (4 times) and our toilet kept making a noise like it was grumbling. There was no breakfast of any kind served (the previous BW had a sort of sack lunch because their breakfast room was closed). The pool and hot tub area was closed and the carpets were dirty throughout the place. I wish I had read the review from February before we stayed.

  Stay on way to Mendocino

  The room was adequate and clean, their breakfast snack bag was rather weak, the location for us was very good. The staff was average, the check in process okay. Check prices from multiple places before booking. It was somewhat noisy despite our late check-in.
