nice room, pleasent staff ,have two srevice at evening time ,which put us under pressure to move on.!!we had a very nice meal on second day and might consider returning. It is a short walk to beach, though there is quite a strong wind blowing there on most days. lot's of bars, and places to eat, though it can be "fast food " type .

A wonderful week of rest & recuperationI have been to this hotel and spa before and can only recommend it. The treatments available and the ambience are a balm for body and soul. The hotel is perfectly situated and the restaurant offers excellent food and service. I really enjoyed my stay and felt well rested on my return home.

Sandyandco.Enjoyed a 7 day visit in this hotel. Comfortable and clean room on 3rd floor. Well equipped bathroom with ample hot water, fluffy towels - changed as often as you like, hairdryer etc. Staff very efficient and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Would benefit from air-conditioning in bedrooms though they do supply large fans on request. Good facilities in spa building but exterior of spa needs cleaning and repairing - looking a bit dilapidated in parts!

If I could give a minus rating I would! On a mini break via Brittany Ferries, luckily this was the last hotel and thankfully only one night. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were met by the old French way, rude and arrogant! No welcoming staff here, nor a Bonjour, Hello - nowt. As we normally do, we always say " I know we are early but can we check in now. What we received as a reply was, "check in time is four o'clock", so I merely said, ok but can we at least check in now and leave our luggage? What she then did was incredible ; she held up four fingers and and uttered " check in time is four o'clock"!!! At that point I decided to leave it as I was about to explode. We came back at around three o'clock and luckily there was an older gentleman on reception who informed us that the room was still not ready but would be soon, we decide to have a drink on the terrace and wait. We went out to the terrace by the pool and was immediately accosted by a waiter who informed us in no uncertain manner that this are was reserved for diners and we were not allowed to sit there. Bearing in mind the dinning room was closed by then, it was not set up for dinning nor was any diners sitting there! It get's worse. On checking in around 3.30 we then asked about dinner in the evening. Again without any apology we were bluntly told the dinning room was full that evening. When I remonstrated with the then younger male receptionist he told me that we were only on B&B and should have booked "complete", which I took to be DBB at the time of booking? I explained as this wasn't a choice given, and as this trip had been booked at least six months in advance how could we make a booking, and why ? Deaf ears, so again decided best to leave it. After we returned from eating elsewhere, guess what, yep the dining was not full and there was no one on the terrace outside! so much for being full. We then retired to our un- air-conditioned room, the first in our trip to then be rudely wakened up at 6.00am the next morning by the noisiest refuge collection I have ever experienced; yes our room was at the back of the hotel on the first floor right over the bin area. Breakfast in the morning needless to say was extremely average, with yet again the most unhappy, un smiling staff we had encountered. Not an experience you wish for and certainly we will not return. If thme hotel management can be bothered to read this review can I respectfully suggest to the that proper staff training really is a must these days and finally "It's not what you say, it's how it is said"

White Robes Dominate! We booked via the Brittany Ferry tour of French Atlantic Islands and were thus B&B. Seeing the slightly isolated location (for the time of year) we asked to dine and fortunately there was space. Room comfortable but reached by what semed to be a single small lift which seemed to be hijacked by white Robed persons on the way to and from the basement spar. We enjoyed our dinner but found the breakfast rather a scrum. Very satisfactory for a one night stop-over but you would need to be a spar fanatic to want to base your holiday here. Good safe parking.
