  Nice hotel!

  We were in Hickory to help our daughter move and needed a place to stay. We had stayed here before and liked it. We would stay here again if we're in the area. Lots of restaurants nearby to pick from.

  Such a Nice, Inexpensive Motel

  My son and I stayed at the Hickory Best Western this week while he was job searching. I have nothing but positive things to say about this experience. The staff is top notch, bending over backwards to give you a pleasant stay. They have pet-friendly rooms and no-pet rooms, so whatever you need that way, they accommodate you. The staff wears masks as they work, and all public areas are cleaned regularly. The breakfast is pre-packaged but includes several egg entrees. The attendant warms up your food and brings it to your table for you. We needed to use the printer several times, and we were not charged for the paper or computer use. We also had a couple maintenance things in the room that were fixed immediately after I called. Yesterday, we needed an hour after checkout time, and that was no problem. Yes, the property is older, but the rooms are clean and the beds are excellent. It looks like the inside part of the property (lobby, restrooms, inside rooms) has been renovated recently, so hopefully they will continue to update their property by tackling the outside section next.

  Special Invitation to Visit Someone

  The location of this hotel was ideal for my trip with adequate parking, ease of room location and room was clean and supplied with all necessary amenities. The facility was well maintained by the ongoing maintenance staff seven days a week.

  Friendly, helpful staff

  We were so pleased with the lobby and dining area, the breakfast, the friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, including the microwave and refrigerator. The dining area was so beautiful and modern.

  Dog friendly Most Rooms are probably ok, our room 268 was relatively clean but smelled like a locker room full of sweaty boys. Obviously a dog room. Some Neutra Air freshener would be helpful. And being we paid $25. for our dog to stay they should be able to steam mop the carpets to freshen. We only stayed here because NONE of the Hilton or Marriotts were pet friendly. Better than most of the other cheap hotels weve stayed.
