  Lugar tranquilo, algo alejado del Centro, pero muy buenas atenciones

  Muy buenas atenciones en todos los miembros del Staff del Hotel. Buen desayuno y habitaciones confortables. Algo alejado del centro, pero con varios autobuses en la misma puerta del hotel. No tiene ascensor, es un Lodge, atractivo pero algo viejo

  Excellent hotel, lovely polite helpful staff

  Beautiful hotel, modernised to 2020 standards and expections whilst losing none of the character of the original property which was a family home. Owner extremely knowledgable about the history of the property and has plenty of old photographs on the walls of the hotel which adds to the character. Bedroom very well presented, spacious, everthing you would expect to find provided. An iron was avaialble from reception (ironing board in the wardrobe). En-suite bathroom equally well presented. Everything "super" clean. Food excellent I had an evening meal and as this was a reduced menu I would love to return after COVID and sample the full menu. Breakfast menu as good. Located in lovely area close to Blaise Hamlet. This hotel is located on a bus route which runs services up to midnight if your room faces the road this may disturb you. I would definitely use this hotel again.

  Pleasant stay

  Nice location on the outskirts of Bristol, which meant free hotel parking which felt quite secluded and secure to us. The building is a former large house (19th century?) so our room was large - room for two sofas - but looked recently decorated and was v comfortable. The loo and bathroom were two small separate ensuites in our room, speeding up the early morning when there's two of you! Staff were friendly and efficient, and breakfast food was freshly cooked.

  Brilliant stay! 10/10 recommend

  I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks whilst on training for my new job. When arriving at the hotel the receptionist was very friendly and greeted us well. There was 4 of us checking in at the same time. She informed us about different things for the hotel then showed us each to our hotel rooms. The hotel staff are improvising social distancing meassures well. With hand sanitiser around the property, wearing masks and spacing the guests out in the restaurants. I have stayed in two different rooms whilst at the hotel. Both in the outer buildings of the hotel. The rooms were very clean, spacious and had good facilities. The showers are amazing and the beds are very comfy. Both rooms had desk fans in which was great as was hot when I was there. Due to covid the rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis, but towels, toilet rolls, tea, coffee etc are able to be collected from reception 24/7. The restaurant was up to a very high standard. Breakfast is made to order. You can request what you want for a cooked breakfast as well as fruit, cereal etc. For dinner there is a menu with a good selection of food. The food is homemade and all options I had have been lovely. The chef also makes homemade ice cream which is amazing. The hotel has a little lounge with comfy chairs and a tv. We would sit here most evenings and get drinks from the bar. The thing that makes the hotel are the staff. They are some of the nicest people I have met and make the standard of the hotel so high. The receptionist are always happy to help and go out of their way to make sure you are happy with your stay. The restaurant staff are so friendly and have conversation with us everyday. Becky who is one of the waitresses really made our stay enjoyable. She would laugh and joke with us each night and was always so polite and respectful. She is an assist to the hotel. The owner of the hotel Akean is such a great guy. He brings real character to the hotel. Gives such a warm welcoming and accommodates out every need. Overall i really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and will Definitely stay here again.

  Ideal place for access to Southmead Hospital

  My husband was recently in Southmead for one night and as we live 2 hours drive away I needed somewhere to stay for 1,2 or 3 nights. I chose Henbury Lodge because of its easy access to the hospital and I was not disappointed. It is just a bit less that 3 miles. My room (number 3) was huge, comfortable and clean with an excellent shower over the bath. If you are sensitive to noise (there is traffic noise) bring some earplugs....I did and it was fine. Also there are wooden shutters on the windows of this room which cut out light and some sound. Breakfast was good, freshly cooked for me and with toast that was actually crispy! Most hotels don't acheive this! I thought it was good value for money and they were happy to be flexible with the length of stay.
