  Christmas Festive Break 2020

  What a fabulous time we had! The staff were great. They got us all into the spirit of enjoying Christmas. Food and service was excellent. Great value. The added bonus was the lovely spa. We'll definitely be going again!

  Fab location just outside the town centre and the hotel is very clean and welcoming. Good facilities and the staff are very good. We would stay here again for sure. Pity about the restrictions due to Covid. The food is superb.

  Thanks for a very Merry Christmas

  Me and a friend spent a lovely 4 nights here over Christmas, being spoilt rotten. The food and service were excellent, and it really helped us relax for a while. The hotel had good processes to manage the virus, with masks being worn all the time apart from when eating and in our rooms. We had our own table for the full stay to enable us to distance from the other guests. All guidelines and rules were followed. The hotel itself is in an excellent location, 5 mins walk from the town, and from the station. Ample parking if required, and very close to several nice walks. The spa was open for most of our stay and we both used it, with the hot tub being particularly useful after a muddy walk through Nidd Gorge. I had a lovely pedicure and my friend enjoyed her massage. The food was ample and abundant, and Christmas lunch itself was lovely. It felt like they really didn't want us to starve. And we got a surprise hamper as a Christmas present. Very nice! Our only gripe is that the room was a bit tired, with the side of the bath coming off. But the power shower was good, and the beds were comfy. Thank you for making Christmas in a trying year a good one. Please pass on our thanks to all the staff for a job well done.

  Christmas package 2020

  We stayed at The dower house hotel for 3 nights over Christmas, everything was very good from the room to the food and the staff made the stay very special, they were all very helpful and couldnt do enough or us. We stayed in room 7 and even received a hamper on Christmas morning. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

  Had to stay here during lockdown due to a family funeral, Jenny was so understanding and arranged our stay with the utmost professionalism. The accommodation was welcoming and warm and although it was a stripped down service we were still made to feel welcome and looked after. They even let us keep the room until after the funeral so we could change into our normal clothes for the long journey home.
