  Poor Telephone Service

  Called to make a reservation this morning and the lady/girl I spoke to on the phone acted like it was a bother to take my reservation. May want to work on customer service, I hope my stay will be better!

  Nice Hotel

  Large clean room with everything we needed. On the Saturday night it was a little noisy but okay on the Sunday night. Reception staff were always busy talking among themselves, so when you spoke to them it felt like you were interrupting. Breakfast was a great selection & the staff very obliging.

  Decent Motel but Could Use More Security

  This is an older-style hotel with exterior corridors facing either the parking lot or the courtyard/pool area. Still, the property and rooms were very clean and the rooms were nice. I came here for a last-minute trip due to a broken AC at home so I could beat the heat. The pool was decent sized and very refreshing on a hot day. I'm glad it was open as other hotels in the area I looked at haven't opened their pools. There's an onsite restaurant which had good food at reasonable prices. It was nice not having to go out for dinner. There's also a 7-Eleven next door. Even though the restaurant was open for lunch and dinner, breakfast was limited to bagged prepackaged items. The only negative was that they could have used more patrols/security. People were smoking on the pool deck despite the signage prohibiting such behavior and I noticed people drinking in the rear parking lot. I wouldn't be surprised if there were drug deals taking place. I wasn't terribly concerned but it's something to think about if you're traveling with your family. All in all, this was a decent place to stay and I'd stay here again if I were in the area.

  Poor effort at COVID prevention

  We stayed here last weekend while in town for a family wedding. We passed housekeeping many times, and I never saw a mask on any face. The day time assistant at the desk never had a mask on either. In addition, the housekeepers were seen through windows of rooms being cleaned not wearing a mask, and even putting on pillowcases by tucking them under their chins! This was as I was leaving, otherwise, I may have left. The breakfast was done nicely- people wore a glove to dish out the food. Many guests did not have a mask on and did not keep a social distance. That is not in the control of the hotel, but they did not try to get this in order. I did not feel confident that Best Western did all they could do to prevent the spread of covid during a pandemic.

  Excellent hotel, pool, staff and restuarant. It is located very convenient to other restaurants and route 29. The property is easy to get into and out of, even with larger vehicles. Rooms have microwaves and refrigerators.
